deke's an excellent pickup especially if you have enough scorers..............

I picked up Joe Dumars, because

    A) he can play both SG and PG
    B) he's arguably the greatest perimeter defender ever (just what I need for the M.J.'s, and Kobes of the world)
    C) he's a big game player
    D) and just an all around hard nosed tough winner............all star appearances, Final MVPs, HOF, etc...........

    EDIT

now I have arguably the 2 greatest defenders at their positions on my team...............Hakeem and Joey

Dumars didn't do anything to Jordan...

In all their match-ups Jordan was not noticeably less efficient.

that's because Jordan was great, but Jordan did admit to Joe Dumars being the best guy who ever defended him......................and he was still one of the greatest perimeter defenders of all time..........Joe Dumars > Vince Carter for numerous reasons......

Say what you want about Carter, I'm talking about Dumar's now. ;)

Jordan's career averages look pretty much intact against him, if not better. Let's not be wishful.

did I say he was going to "shut down" jordan????............. no......................but he'll D him up as good as anyone, and he can create, score, finish strong, and is mentally tough. And you'd have to watch how Dumars played him to understand that.............but you didn't do that........There's a reason why M.J. said what he said..........Dumars is a winner...........Vince is a poo poo dinner............

Vince gets killed for his defense sometimes, but he's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Glad we clarified this though. :o

And I've seen VC contain Kobe and others below what they usually get.
