Probably for the same reasons you like Sean Hannity (I'm assuming you like him, but to be fair, I have no idea).

I've stopped watching cable news these days. PBS, MSNBC and CNN are over the top biased for Obama, and Fox News is a 24/7 commercial for McCain.

It'd be nice to find some ethical journalism somewhere.

Olbermann doesn't do a journalistic show...or not completely. Only parts of his show is journalistic. The other part is a comedy show, like the Daily Show, or Colbert Report.

I switch a lot. For every minute of MSNBC I watch, I'll watch a minute of Fox. And I still say CNN has the least amount of bias, although I can admit the non-partisan people on their political analysis team seem to favor Obama these days (Gloria Borger, Jeff Toobin, John King). CNN also has the best presentation IMO and is the only one I get in HD.

    You hear Lou Dobbs lately?

I like the HD, but what good is a great signal with that content?

I can't stand Lou Dobbs. I never watch his show. I usually only watch Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper.

BTW, when I say best presentation, I mean they are the best one to watch national events on because they usually add cool features to it like the graph at the debates and the pundit scorecards on the sides.

Did you miss during the primaries when everyone on CNN acted like Obama ran over their dogs?

I think Fox News is the best for daytime news, and MSNBC for cable news shows at nights (although I think Countdown is the only thing worht watching right now, since Verdict got replaced with the Rachel Maddow show, and the quality of Hardball went in the crapper).

I'm still upset Verdict got replaced, Maddow's show is just whatever to me.

I catch Hannity and Colmes whenever I remember to, but I'm neutral about Hannity. I don't care for him, at the same time I don't mind him. I think what he does for the troops is good stuff though.

I remember a while back when McClellan went on Hardball and Matthews effectively got him to accuse Fox News of taking talking points from the White House. When Matthews asked if any of the news anchors (Hume, Shep) took talking points, McClellan said no. When Matthews asked if the nighttime guys did, McClellan said yes. O'Reilly got pissed, got McClellan to admit on his show that O'Reilly never received talking points from him. You eliminate O'Reilly, and Greta (who is a liberal), and Colmes, you conclude Hannity got talking points from the White House.

And that really is the essence of Hannity. If you want someone who is going to defend Bush and attack Obama, he's your guy. If you want stimulating discussion, you're not going to find it. It's very predictable with his show. At least with guys like Rush, Levin, O'Reilly, and Savage, you get spontaneity.

    It's pretty obvious.

Basicly if you watch MSNBC as a source for political news, you are an idiot. MSNBC ceased to be a valid news organization a long time ago.

And Olbermann is comparable to O'Reilly, I wouldn't say Hannity is that extreme.

Funny. I think O'Reilly is an ass, but I don't think he's near as bad as Hannity. I think Hannity is kind of crazy actually. He isn't objective towards any subject at all. Democrats are terrorists in his eyes and bad for the country. Republicans are angles and the beacon of light that will save the world. KO thinks the same way, but vice versa on the parties obviously.

C-SPAN might actually be the best network at covering politics. At least in my opinion.

Yeah O'Reilly is obnoxious and rude, but more objective than Hannity.

Olbermann isn't terribly interested or enamored with the Dems, he is more interested in attacking the reds, which is a lot of what we see right here on the forum from both sides.

You are way too hostile. I hate people like Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, but I wouldn't call people who listen to them idiots. They aren't objective, but they are valid. Just like KO and any other partisan news commentator.

Also, I agree with porky. Hannity is way worse than O'Reilly. Bill has no problem criticizing Republicans, Hannity never does it.
