Of course not, not everyone is entrepreneurial and are perfectly happy being mediocre, living paycheck to paycheck and mooching off the success of others. That is why socialism may become popular through an Obama administration. If he is able to placate the masses, it may just become the economic system in the United States. Things are changing.
I agree, and it seems that I am outnumbered handily by people with ample time to spend on the internet. So, the question is, do I work harder to try and make more $$$, or do I work less, post more, and hope to be given money from people working harder than I am? I see a correlation here.
Um, OK, those policies failed once the tech bubble crashed. Raising taxes right now is stupid. Even Obama admits it. Obama: Recession Could Delay End to Bush Tax Cuts Even Obama admits his policies would harm the economy.
I don't think there is a correlation. I spend an inordinate amount of time online, but then again, I do a lot of business online so 1/2 my day is spent emailing people. I even work at home when I'm online. Just work smarter. I'm trying to figure out ways to sheild the effects of the upcoming and current socialism wave.
Obama says in that link that he is going through with his tax cuts. I think Obama has pretty consistently made the stand that we are at a point on the Laffer curve where increasing taxes will increase tax revenue.
Except when he didn't in the link I provided. And we've had record revenues with the tax cuts. Oh well, I figure the longer the Joe the Plumber story stays alive, the more the blue-collar workers realize exactly what they are facing if they dare question Obama.
Nah, I think I'll just sit around, wait for the socialism to give me a check, and then have no one to complain to when even that doesn't provide for me.
Yeah...but thats not true, Obama didn't say that. In the article you linked, nowhere does it say Obama would extend the Bush tax cuts because not doing so would hurt the economy. The only thing that alludes to that is the author of the article saying, "Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bush's tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy." That of course is completely contradicted by the next paragraph, and an actual Obama quote. "Nevertheless, Obama has no plans to extend the Bush tax cuts beyond their expiration date, as Republican John McCain advocates. Instead, Obama wants to push for his promised tax cuts for the middle class, he said in a broadcast interview aired Sunday. "Even if we're still in a recession, I'm going to go through with my tax cuts," Obama said. "That's my priority.""
Is he? Olbermann just said that when you type in his last name Charles Keating comes up as a relative of a guy with the same last name, but Olbermann didn't think Joe the Plumber was related to Charles Keating. Did it turn out that Joe the Plumber actually was related to Keating?
People don't make more $ by working harder. That's a myth. They make more $ by working smarter. The only people getting money from people working harder than them are employers.
And William F. Buckley Jr. is voting for Obama. What is your point? Plus, yet again, I know more about Joe the Plumber than I know about Obama.
Well, it seems we have a lot of "smart workers" here who have no problem giving away their money to who-knows-what. Me? I give to charities. Directly.
