what did quick say today? oden is a bust? it seems like thats gonna be his new thing. quick drives me nuts. 3 weeks ago...he gushed about oden, now oden is not impressive. thats quite the dramatic change in opinion. did oden piss off quick?
Oden is 273 lbs. now. Greg also told the Portland Tribune that he grew a half inch to 6'11.5" in his barefeet.
Where did you get all of that from? Quick did say that Oden has looked "underwhelming" and tight so far ... but to be fair to both Quick and Oden, JQ was predicting an all-star appearance from the big fella this season. If anything it sounds like Greg is the one that is pissed after Quick mentioned this to him. (FWIW, Brandon Roy approved of JQ telling him that, since he thinks it might light a fire under his ass)

It is worth a listen. Quick still loves Oden, but says everyone thinks Oden is playing tight in games, and needs to relax and not worry about it. Also said Batum practiced again as a starter today and has Brandon's endorsement at that spot. I think that is pretty big. Says the second unit looks great together and has nice chemistry, so why remove Travis.

I wear my tinfoil hat with pride, but I'm sure it was LMA who requested that trade... he had no love for Z-Bo whatsoever. LMA wanted that starting job, and he made sure he got it.
He said that Bayless is struggling. Said that some players are saying he isn't getting them the ball at the right time/place. He just has a lot to learn. Roy defended him saying that JB is learning and doesn't have the bad attitude that some say (similar to early Webster).

I'm starting to agree. Quick is starting to act like a fan. He's already calling Oden's play to date underwhelming and saying that Rudy has already exceeded expectations. Plus, during the chat, he basically admitted he may have been too hasty in judging Bayless as standoffish and arogant. It's like he's forgotten that all three of them are ROOKIES and there's still TWO WEEKS LEFT IN THEIR FIRST PRESEASON... Just withhold these kinds of statements till after opening night, at least? No wonder Greg has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
thats classic Quick rumor to accepted truth. Quick originally implied that Brandon did this, but BR has absolutely denied it. With as much BS and opinion dressed up as fact as that guy throws out, I don't know why anyone takes what he says at face value. STOMP
LA has flatly denied doing this as well. More then likely its just another example of a Quick created urban legend/load of BS STOMP
