    No mention of Rudy?

I like his list, though I think I'd take Brook over Westbrook.

Jerryd Bayless should be on there over Westbrook.

I think Rudy is going to have more of an immediate impact than Bayless will.

After seeing an out of shape Greg Oden last night - I am under the impression that it is his award to lose. He might not have the biggest individual statistics - but his impact on team statistics are going to be impossible to ignore.

Except R.O.Y. is voted on by media from around the country (and Canada) and big points are pretty hard to ignore. Frankly I think the award is usually more of a booby prize for bad teams with one bright spot in a breakout rookie.

I'll just be happy if Greg cleans up the glass, dominates the paint on defense, and makes the rest of the team better and they get to the post season.

I am so sick of seeing OJ Mayo rated so highly. He is way too inconsistent right now.

Beasley hasn't been a very good defensive player, and Oden is still getting the hang of things. I think Mayo is easily a favorite for ROY

Rose is the starter in Chicago. For now.

Hinrich is starting at SG. For now.

So far, Rose has looked better than I have been expecting, since he doesn't have a great outside shot. But the kid can really play and has the best athleticism of any Bulls guard in a long long time.

the best 4 guys in this draft were mayo, rose, bayless, and beasley(in that order).

add oden to the top of that list and rudy to the bottom and you've got the top 6.

of course this is just an evaluation of talent and has nothing to do with who will win rookie of the year(though oden has that locked down).

I think Westbrook will have a bigger impact on that OKC team than most people think, but that may not translate statistically.

I think the order as of right now:

    1. Oden
    2. Mayo
    3. Rose
    4. Beasley
    5. Bayless
    6. Love

I agree with your list. Although at least for next year I think Rudy will be better than Bayless, but Bayless will be better in the long run.

I don't know how anybody can have Bayless ahead of Rudy Fernandez.

Don't get me wrong, but right now I think Jerryd plays more minutes than Rudy, and that usually leads to production. Not something I believe in, nor do I believe much in that list, cause I look at impact on their team more than the actual stats they acquire. I made that list based off of what NBA.com and ESPN and the voters would vote like.

I like Rudy much more than Rose, Beasley, Love, and Bayless. He is exciting to watch and I watched all of Spain's games over the summer to see him play. But you know with these awards the NBA hands out, its so...random lol

Rudy definitely is going to get more minutes than Bayless

As it looks right now, Rudy will play at least twice as many minutes.

for this season it seems likely that rudy will be better and also have the opportunity to play more minutes.

down the line though, i think it's more likely that bayless is the better player of the two.
