The Kobester...he has the the ability to get to the rim AND make the outside shot. He also plays better defense than anyone who you could make an argument for in this category
I'm with Kobe on this one. LeBron may score on Kobe one on one, but I get the feeling that he would do so on strong drive with his body, which TECHNICALLY is all strength not exactly one on one skill. Kobe has all the moves and the offensive savvy to score. And yes, Kobe can be a mean defender.
Kobe. He can score inside and outside. LeBron still can't hit a jumper to save his life. Plus, when LeBron goes to the hoop, more often than not, it's all about him using his strength to get there, Kobe does it using finesse.
Really?! No way?! I TOTALLY did not see your post. I know...I was just reaffirming you with my thoughts bro.
this argument doesn't make sense. points are points. the question isn't who is the best finesse one on one player.
I know points are points. My point is that LeBron gets his by bulldozing through people since he's so much bigger and stronger than everyone at his position. That's not what I call one on one talent. That's just called taking advantage of your strength. Kobe, on the other hand, constantly breaks his man down off the dribble to get by them. And if he can't do that, he'll pull up on you and hit a jumper or drill a fadeaway right in your face. LeBron, on the other hand, can't do those latter two. If he can't get to the rim and is forced to be a jump shooter, he's doomed. That showed in the first what, 5 games of the Celtics series, as well as in the Finals against the Spurs. They forced him in to shooting jumpers. He can't do that. I love though, how you blatantly ignored that point that I made when I initially made it, and just attacked the other part of my post.
Oh yea, Rocketeer, LeBron is in no way the best team player in the NBA. Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Jason Kidd are all better team players. All four of those guys epitomize what it is to be a team player, ALWAYS looking to set up someone else before getting their own.
lebron....he has the quickness, strength, and size to matchup with just about anyone.......Kobe wouldn't be, because of his size. I remember hearing how Scottie Pippen used to take M.J. in the bulls practices.........
Just because you're a PG doesn't mean you have to be a pass-first guy. AI, Stephon Marbury, Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, etc. are guys that typically will look to get their points first before helping others.
