    Nash? Two time MVP?

Big Shocker: Chris Paul at only #5! ??? I had him in my top 3.

I guess it goes like this:

    1. LeBron
    2. Kobe
    3. Duncan
    4. KG

LeBron HAS to be #1, right? If KG better than Duncan for winning the title this year?

    Your thoughts?

    My top five is:

    1. LeBron James
    2. Kobe Bryant
    3. Chris Paul
    4. Dwyane Wade
    5. Amare Stoudemire

Duncan and Garnett used to be #1 and #2 for me at one point, but they've both declined a bit.

Oh, as far as what they'll do, I think you have it right.

    #3 TIM DUNCAN

So here it is.... who will come in at #2? Kobe or LeBron. Kobe DID wi MVP but I think LeBron deserves the top spot. Please, SLAM, oh please, make Kobe #2. I think he deserves it because he got skunked by the Celtics while LeBron took the Cs down to the wire.

    Thoughts?

LeBron did play terrible in the first 2-3 games of his series against the C's though (all-time worst shooting stretch over 4 games too, IIRC). Obviously either merits the #1 spot to me so I won't mind either way.

He shot terribly. That's not the only part of his game though. At least in Game 7, LeBron delivered all but the W. In Game vs the Cs, Kobe shot 7-20, 7-22? Something like that? 39 point blow out? True stars don't let that happen. I'm not sure Kobe should even be Top 10.

I don't like him, but for one season only, I take Kobe.

If we want to focus on just one game, then LeBron would have clinched the series if he hadn't been all-time horrific in Game 1; if he was just "7-22" in other words. With Kobe it was more about a team chokejob when he got blown out; and he did play poorly but basketball-reference has both of them with identical game scores... Kobe was also the monster who got us to the Finals by himself seeing as Pau was struggling at the 5 and Odom wasn't too hot at any point. The Top 10 in the game flourish I don't even want to touch, there's no way to me anyone can justify that. The Celtics playing poorly in the early part of the CLE series allowed Bron to take them to 7 games.

2-18, 10 Turnovers in what was essentially a one point loss before the intentional free throws.

6-24, 7 turnovers the next game, so yeah, Kobe was never that individually awful. You obviously don't like the guy.

LeBron played like that and STILL willed his team to within 2 minutes of taking down the Celtics. The Lakers weren't even CLOSE.

    24 pt choke job

    39 point blow out

    Checkmate.

You will hear it from me all season long so get used to it.

LeBron didn't will anyone to anything in those games, Kobe outplayed him individually in these "chokejobs". All you're doing is comparing team performances instead of how both of them performed. You're ignoring the various factors that put them in the positions to win or lose.

Get a grip, you lost already and you're reaching.

Read this carefully, I said Bron can easily be considered the best player at this moment, you brought this discussion into a whole other ridiculous direction by saying Kobe might not be top ten and disregarding whenever Bron plays poorly. And this poll isn't based on Head-2-Head matchups.
