Patrick Ewing Jr, DJ Strawberry, Malik Hairston, Chris Richard... Some young players that are currently free agents. I wouldn't mind us taking a chance on them as our last roster spot. Maybe they can develop into players for us in the future? I'd take them all over Karl that's for sure.
Richard was on the Florida Gators, along with Horford, Noah, and Brewer. I dunno much about him, but he's a big body. He's very well built (no homo), think Mbenga. If anything he'd provide us with some bulk to throw at other teams, and another 6 fouls.
jajajaja you wont believe me, but i was thinking the same let darius play 10 games just to make portland pay the 8 millions of his salary and then waive him
No dont waive him if that were to happen. He is better than nothing. Plus it would have to be a full year contract anyways.
Out of those names I wouldn't mind giving Malik Hairston a look. However, I still think the Lakers need to add one more front court player who can play the PF/C position effectively.
If im not mistaken, in order for the Blazers to account for Miles' salary, a team just has to sign him to a 10 day contract in January through the end of the season.
Miles has to play in at least 10 games. But Miles also is suspended for the first 10 games so that team has to sign him for at least 20 games. The problem with your threory's in here is that even if Miles plays there's a good chance Portland wins the appeal because 2 independent doctors said he shouldn't play again because he's knees are only going to get worse. Also doesn't matter if Miles money goes back on the books they still have enough to sign Kobe this summer
Don't get me wrong I hate Kobe (for being a Laker) but what better way to screw the Lakers than to steal their best player. Tell me Portlands lineup wouldn't be a dynasty Blake Roy Kobe LMA Oden OUCH!!!!!!! be scared be very scared BTW did you guys here Kobe talking about Nate today on fox sports? He raves about Nate, think he has a man crush on him, lol.
