This is per gallon, right? In the UK the lowest I've seen is 96.9p per litre, which is $1.57 per litre, which is $5.93 per US gallon. You don't know how good you have it, even at $4 per litre.
Bullshit. The only difference between the US and Europe regarding petrol costs is government taxation.

We pay the same amount. The government taxes it more. It's the fault of the governments in those countries, not that the American consumer is lucky.
Hmmm. Kind of makes you wonder about those price-fixing allegations last summer against "Big Oil". I guess OPEC must not be as good at it now as they were in June.
I know oil about as much as Jed Clampett, so I'm not sure how OPEC affects oil companies or their exact relationship. But I think the big oil corps are still looking good.
