So yeah just came back from voting, me and my father went there, and his name wasn't on the list, which was truly a shame. We had registered almost 4 years ago when we moved to Massachusetts and then in the last governor election here we both voted, so he was registered, but somehow, someway he was taken from the list. I know a vote cannot change things, but it's the process I care about, and these things discourage people from voting the next time. Other than that I'm happy that I voted, and my vote went to none other than John McCain. Good luck to Obama and Biden. (and all their supporters)
I had that problem when I moved from Portland to Vancouver 8 years ago. Fortunately, the people at the polling place were able to correct it. I miss the old style polling booths... made me feel like voting was more special than a mail in ballot. Plus, if one got there early, there were doughnuts.
There are no donuts here : ( And the nearest Krispey Kreme is 45 minutes away, so I can't claim my free donut. And did your dad end up voting? He can always ask for a provisional ballot.
No, they started talking about re-registering but then my dad got mad (they're very stubborn in the balkans lol) and decided not to do it, and told them in the face that someone is playing with him and doesn't want him to vote. haha Oh well.
Sorry about the problem your dad encountered, CelticKing. I just got back from voting, as well. Chalk one up for McCain/Palin!
