I'm well aware of everything you're saying. But that's the point. He wasn't good enough to play. It's not like he was gold sitting on the bench that Phil refused to use. And I just made the point because there was criticism of Oden's current stats.

    Learn the game, then post.

Right, and I realize this. This is why I don't understand why you threw out the comparison of their rookie years. Everyone knew that Andrew was going to be a product. No one expected him to come in and be an instant double double as a rookie. So why you bother to even point out that Bynum wasn't productive is beyond me. Him and Oden were in completely different situations as rookies. A lot is expected of Oden, nothing was expected of Bynum. To compare rookie seasons is crazy.

And for the record, I'm not criticizing Oden's stats, I just don't see how you can argue that he's better than Bynum when he has done nothing. When Oden puts up better numbers than Bynum, then we can talk about him better. Last I knew though, Oden couldn't even stay on the court, so your argument about him being "better" is absolutely moot because you have no evidence of it. At all.

You mean "project" and I think Oden outplayed Bynum on opening night. He only played 13 minutes and STILL outrebounded Bynum.

    cfm

p.s. nothing we say when talking on this subject is personal. it's all fun and games.

So now you're comparing rookie Bynum with rookie Oden? Obviously, rookie Oden is much better. But Bynum isn't a rookie anymore.

Dude, people were trashing Oden's first and only game as a pro so I brought up Bynum's first games as a pro. That's all.

Dude. You don't know what you're talking about. Oden is better than Bynum. Period. Heck, Bogut is better than Bynum.

    I did mean project....good call. Don't know why I typed "product"...oh well.

I really don't see how Oden outplayed Bynum on opening night. Oden did get 5 boards...but that's all he did. He didn't score a basket...something like 0/5 I think. While Bynum didn't play well, he did end with 8 points and also got 3 blocks as well....and considering he is coming off knee surgery and was still shaking off rust, PLUS having a contract negotiation going on...that's not too horrid...not great though by any means.

And I don't take anything personal, don't worry. I realize this is a message board and nothing else.
