That's across generations, though. I'm wondering if peers are really any tighter than guys at other positions.
Shaq hated David Robinson. Wilt and Russel were good friends. Darko and Kwame were on the same team - I have no idea if Darko is a cake thief or not - but I can't believe that we never celebrated this awesome two-some bust pairing more.
I think it is because they all share what can really be considered a somewhat beneficial disfigurement. They are all WAY larger then the average which leads to good things on the basketball court but a great deal of discomfort everywhere else. It is sort of like a support group I guess. No one else is going to understand the day to day hassles of big really, really huge.
Do 6'11" power forwards not understand what 7'1" centers go through? Do 6'8" small forwards not identify with 6'11" power forwards? I don't buy it.
Perhaps Spud Webb, Mugsy Bogues, Earl Boykins and Gary Coleman could start a similar support group. BNM
That's like comparing a tight end to a center on a football team; similar dimensions totally different roles and mentalities. Center is not usually a "glory" position, and with a few exceptions in history has rarely been the focal point of a team's offense.
i was just pointing out that tony battie is no where near the level that Oden is. come on guys, was it a nice sentiiment? sure but at the end of the day i don't give a crap about tony battie, other than he seems to be a nice guy. sorry but howards comments mean more to me than tbs. and really none of this matters anyways, just get GO out on the court and let's see what he can don. nice to see a bunch of guys butt hurt on here though.
yea, i'm the prick who goes around Fuck this, fuck that...please. i'm one of the few rational ones on this board
and appearently it's fine to call out and mock the trailblazers but heaven forbid i mock Tony Freaking Battie.
