Well that sucks. It will be fun to see what kind of messed up lineups Nate concocts tonight. We SHOULD see a lot of Jerryd Bayless. He is the only player on our roster that can come close to staying in front of Wade. If it were me I'd start Bayless to keep our second unit intact

I'm interested in seeing how Rudy handles being the focus of the defense. Wade better have his track shoes on because he's going to be chasing Rudy all night. Although Rudy's going to get abused by Wade on offense.

Totally, but I think he has a better shot than anyone else at sort of staying in front of Wade

Seems to me that Wade gives up most of what he gets. He's more concerned with offense than defense. Rudy should be able to get open. It should be fun to watch how they run their offense with out Roy slowing it down. But then again it could get ugly.

I wanna see Rudy get alot of minutes. I've loved his play since the Olympics, and I think this game I can watch on ESPN, during my Laker game, so I can easily go back and forth during commercials.

By the way, how many injuries is this for you guys so far? Seems like it's nonstop...fucking sucks you guys can't see your whole team healthy together. I know I'd go nuts.

I agree. I usually don't get my team info from AM Northwest or whatever show it was from.

Wade is a good defender in spurts - but he does concentrate more on offense, that is true. The place where Wade does give back to the opposite team is with turn-overs. More than 4 per game this year (and almost 4 for his career).

He is still a great player. I think that a healthy Wade has only Kobe to combat for the title of 2nd best player in the NBA.

I think you are forgetting about LaBron. King James has led teams that wouldn't make the playoffs in the d-league to the playoffs in the NBA. Wade, when faced with the same adversity, mailed it in.

Jay Allen just said on The Game that Roy "is going to try and play tonight".

The lineup would be interesting. Nate said he was thinking about Oden off the bench, because Roy and LMA could score for the starters. My guess is Rudy goes to the starting lineup. If that is true, you could see why you would want Oden in at the start. I don't think you can start Rudy, Batum and Joel though--scoring might be a little iffy, unless Rudy goes off.

Bayless to start would be interesting though. Bayless did get to guard Wade this summer, and Wade is only a bit taller.

    If I were king:

    First Unit:

    Blake
    Rudy
    Outlaw
    LMA
    Oden

    Second Unit:

    Sergio
    Bayless
    Batum
    Frye
    Joel

Come on Nate, just do it.

Seeing more of Rudy wouldn't be a bad thing, and seeing Bayless out there get some burn would be nice to see.
But if the game is on the line, that's when Roy will be missed...

I think we'll see a lot of Batum on him.. Nicolas played well against Parker, but yeah... Wade might tear us up tonight.
But I thought Marion is out for Miami too?
