They have played the Clippers twice already so I don't see how that makes them the best team. :dunno:

And thanks for the nice comment about the Celts. :ghoti:

The Spurs have the highest possible rating? Is that, like their current rating being higher than their record suggests, due to winning several championships in recent years? Can we see the maximum ratings for all the teams?

The Hawks will drop several spots after tonights game.

And you better put the Celtics on top after the win. ;)

Celtics would have to have one hell of a game to pass up the Lakers. Although if New Orleans creams the Lakers tonight, that will help in the cause as well.

Yeah, I never thought of these rankings changing that drastically from night to night, but I can see drastic changes from week to week.

I'm actually more excited to see BG7's rankings than any of the other ones. (espn, nba, whatever)

    I love this thread. :)

Same here, I think it combines both the ESPN rankings into one. (Hollinger stats and Stein's subjectiveness).

    Exactly.

Hollinger's came out today I believe, and he had Celtics 4th or 5th. (I hate him) lol

How can you be biased if you use a formula for all this?

Well the "max" ratings may be somewhat biased or a bit irrelevant. Not that I'm in an uproar or anything.

But the Lakers beat the Hornets by 7 points. Celtics should pass up the Jazz again though, given how close they were and that the Jazz loss. I can't see the Hawks falling too much, if at all.

Yeah I expected a bigger win actually by the Celts.

Pierce won it with the last shot with about 7 seconds left I believe, the shot went in and 0.5 seconds were left for the Hawks.

The last few minutes were just like being in the playoffs.

Blazers have beaten four teams ahead of them - 14, 12, 10, and 9. Their 3 losses were all on the road to teams 1, 2, and 7.

I expect us to lose tomorrow, but your ranking methodology is still FUBAR.

Does anyone read this? Cause I don't see how this formula can be biased beyond the rewarding of the playoff teams in the last 2yrs. I mean seriously. I've seen worse rankings.
