i missed most of the 3rd quarter where the hell did LA get all those fouls? FANTASTIC reffing by the delany god it reminded me of that game that we just had not too long ago where they had 20 something fouls on us and like 3 on them..... and now that i think about it.... i think delany was reffing that one too....

He dominated GS's small players. Lost the ball sometimes due to some gambling midgets though.

On a side note, why didn't we take a three and go for a two instead during the play where we had 11.2 seconds left?

WOW!! I guess they have some pretty tight deadlines to get these recaps out to the 'net. Fuck the facts. Just get the "info" out there!! "We have to publish faster than CBS Sportsline or SI.COM! HURRY!! POST THE MOTHER FUCKER!!!"

Um you forgot turnovers and fast breaks too.

It was an ugly game and a win back at the Rose Garden tomorrow will help, but this really leaves me sick. We could have pulled it out, but the Rudy call blew the game wide open for Golden State. UGH

One more thing. We would have won this game if we made our FTs though.

How GS went 33/35, I'll never know.

    Why isn't Oden a top 3 rookie? 22 & 10 off the bench?

In the rankings? He's only played 3 full games. Give it a couple weeks and he'll be top 5 no doubt about it.

Thumbs up: Greg Oden = beast-like
Thumbs down: Bad officiating! Dammmmit, Warriors were just giving us the game at the end.
Let the players decide the game!!!

    Frustrating as hell.

We had our chances. Warriors got really sloppy and if it weren't for that bad call on Fernandez, then who knows. We should have won this won. Golden State fouling Outlaw and sending him to the line was a smart move IMO, even though I'm not sure they were trying to intentionally do so.

But at the very least, it was Greg Oden's coming out party. Lots of dunks, a few blocks. Granted, Golden State doesn't play with many bigs so his numbers might be kind of inflated compared to a more regular lineup. How can you stop the pick and role with Oden though? He takes up so much space and is so big and quick that he can cut to the hoop quick if the guard doesn't already beat the defense.

Best moment of the night was the Rudy/Oden connection via the backboard.

Blake was pretty open. If Outlaw had kicked it out, Steve would have had a good shot to tie it up.

I don't think Travis had enough time to kick it out. He was immediately pushed to the ground when he got the ball. But eh.. Brandon should've penetrated and kicked it out to someone instead of trying to pass inside to Channing who hadn't played all game long and was put in a pressure situation.

Nate's coaching was mind boggling at times.

1.) Why did we go zone when they were clearly hot from the outside?

2.) We should have played a big lineup instead of a small one. Play to your strengths, not theirs.

3.) Did he draw up that last play? Where Brandon would drop it to Frye? We needed a three. No timeouts. Hello???

Typical blame the coach after a loss post.

    1) We went zone because we had Oden and Frye in the game and Golden State would've isolated Magette on Frye and taken him to the rack over and over.

    2) You want the team to go big, but you expect them to cover their perimeter shooters? You can't have the best of both worlds. If Oden wouldn't have struggled with us running the ball through him, I think we would've stayed bigger longer. It's tough to go big when LMA is in foul trouble.

    3) I'm sure he setup a play to get Brandon an open look to get a three off the inbound, if it's not there, he probably wanted him drive and dish.

It's not always the coaches fault when we lose. But, if you're one of those people who likes to blame the losses on Nate, then you should write a both giving Nate the credit for all of our wins.

i just want to know why batum never gets off the bench. we need to give him more time, and i think he should be in at the end of games. his defense is to good not to have out there, and he can spot up in the corner

Yep, Outlaw's fault. Let's not mention Roy's miserable pass to Frye that made no sense when the game wasn't still in "miracle" mode.
