How do you know he did not? I do not think that getting a T is the only way to stand up to one's player...

I'd have more respect for him if he could actually run an effective offense.

Right now, he's no better than Mo Cheeks when it comes to offensive sets.

Maybe he had told Aldridge, after the first couple, to just turn and shoot over Maggette?

It seems like it would have been a reasonable bit of advice to give, given LA's height and reach advantage. And if he HAD given that advice, do you think Nate still should have received a technical foul for the refs calling LA for doing what Nate had told him not to do?

I like my 6'11" players to shoot over shorter players from 4', not from 18'. If you want to defend Maggette's flopping after putting two hands on LMA that's on you, but that is not basketball as it is supposed to be called this season.

Really? Portland is 2nd in offensive efficiency in the league. His offense is remarkably efficient and effective.

The problem is not offense on this team. It's defense. If you look - you will see that Portland is among the worst in defensive efficiency in the league. The fact that this team is over .500 should tell you how good the offense is.

I recall a few years ago when Mo broke out a new motion offense, and we reeled off 11 or 12 victories in a row. That offense looked better than the stagnant garbage we're running now. And this isn't just about not playing uptempo, it's more about the lack of cuts, movement without the ball, and inside scoring.

Hopefully, this is just a sign of our guys not being familiar with each other, but I doubt it. Nate's offense has looked the same here since it did when he was coaching in Seattle.
