Glad to see we got the win. Glad to see Bynum come up with the double double and also to see Kobe have a good shooting night too. He's been off recently, so for him to finish what...10/16 or 12/18, something like that...it was nice. Hopefully that gets his jumper on track.
His jumpshots looked great today. I mean he was getting up high on them with a great release. He just needs his legs under him. I still don't think Bynum gets enough touches down low. (didn't realize how wrong that sounded til now)
Yea...the end of that post...you should really go back and edit it dude. And I agree...Bynum does need the ball more, it just needs to come in the context of the offense. I don't want to feed him the ball just to feed him the ball. If it comes in the flow of what we're doing, awesome, but don't force-feed.
We simply own the Nuggets. I don't think I've seen a worse defensive team this season than Denver. They don't put any pressure on the ball handler and they cannot contest in the post. Josh Powell was impressive tonight and he played well with the first unit. He hits the offensive glass hard and he had three big blocks in the game. I felt we shot too many 3-pointers in the game early in the clock, mainly Fisher and Sasha, but our overall effort in this game was solid. Nice to see the team play with a high level of energy coming off a back to back. I never want to see Fisher attempt a lob pass again either. He has terrible depth perception and his lobs put our players in danger because it creates a jumpball situation at the rim and players are falling on the court. Ariza almost landed awkwardly on one of Fisher's lob attempts, and Bynum almost hit his head on the rim while he was being undercut by Nene. Lamar Odom had another efficient night for us scoring 13 points in 18 minutes on 5/7 shooting. He's found his rhythm in the last two games and is being very aggressive on the offensive end. His ability to go coast to coast really catches teams off guard and his defender is usually trailing the play which leads to easy buckets for the Lakers. Ariza is the prophet. He can visualize plays before they happen and he gets his hand on every loose ball, jumps in the passing lane for steals, and comes out of nowhere to swat shots or pull in a rebound. When Farmar and Ariza come in the game the Lakers are very entertaining.
