really? you know what the US's record is against european teams since the world cup? 4-3(with a tie if you count the olympics). they won in denmark, in switzerland, in poland, and in the US against sweden. the losses were in sweden, in england, and in spain. but of course they would have no shot at qualifying? i know people in europe want to pretend like the US sucks at soccer but if you're actually going to act like you know something you're going to have to get that shit out of here. the US is not as good as the top tier european teams. that being england, spain, germany, italy, portugal, netherlands, and france(the other two top tier international teams being brazil and argentina). however, the US is on the same level as mexico, the 2nd tier european teams, the 2nd tier south american teams, and the best african teams.
WOW THAT was a HUGE homer post! You do know Sweden played with there B and C player against America right? And I bet you any money if they played Poland now they would get murdered.
You're an idiot mate, The goal Spain scored on us was an OFF-SIDE goal it was clearly an offside goal but the gay ref didn't call it. And in the Turkey game we had the lead and everything are defense just fell they didn't play well gave Turkey easy stuff in the 2nd half. We totally dominated the Turks in the 1st half. You never even watched the game against Spain and Turkey so please shut up. We dominated Spain in the first half and we could have took the lead but our inexperienced striker made a bad choice and passed the ball down all he need to do was hit it and it would have been a goal. As for the Turkey match we didn't have 2 of our best defenders but it is what it is. And the first goal was an Own Goal by Dzeko, so DON'T give be stupid ass posts like that american, you don't know nothing about football go back and talk to your friends about "soccer" LMAO AHAHAH what a dumbass word. You are talking so much shit, America sucks in football and that is final. You players will NEVER be close to our players. THIS is what our players are doing RIGHT now in the Bundesliga, can a little american player do this HELL NO! Lendon Donvon SUCKS! When I see an american do this let me know. Vedad and Dzeko are strikers, and only 13 games have been played so far in the Bundesliga, if you are following it that is real football EPL and Bundesliga not some gay shit like mls.
When you stop acting like a petulant 14 year-old, feel free to respond to my posts. Until then, if all you have is insults, please just move along.
Those are all friendlies, so most Euro teams don't really show up on those games, since they don't mean anything. Especially the star players who are playing for top league teams in Europe, they have a clause in their contracts to not get injured in friendly games. I live in the US now, and have watched most of US games, and they actually suck. I bet even my country who hasn't even been accepted into FIFA yet, would be able to beat the US, since they play with heart and passion. The US has neither of those, they just try and act tough on the pitch, which will get you nowhere. (that works in nfl) I'll say it again, the US sucks at soccer, and shouldn't be ranked in top 50. Here are some Europe teams that are stronger than the US and would beat them in any competition whether for Euro Cup or World Cup. (if US was in Europe of course lol) Albania, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine. That's just Europe, now think of other teams as well like Nigeria, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, etc etc. I personally would love the US team to be better and actually be able to compete in the world cup without embarrassing us, but the truth is that they suck.
Donovan is going to Munich now on a 3 month transfer I believe, but he won't be a starter. (unless they have injuries) That tells you how deep the Euro countries are with stars, that all the league teams in Europe are stacked with them, that there is no place for the so called "stars" of the US.
Because I just embarrassed you, showed you that our players are better and my country would play ring around the rosy with your country. Oh by the way if you are watching Hoffenheim vs. FC Koln Vedad Ibiševic(striker) just made another assist and you can believe he will score. And you might be saying who the fuck is Hoffenheim well Hoffeheim for your information is TIED for 1st place with 25 points in the Bundesliga Bayern Munich is 3rd. Follow really football not some gay mls, that the rest of the world mocks and laughs at.
And I believe Albania would beat US because Albania has a WORLD CLASS defense that Portugal couldn't crack and they even used 4 strikers and Albania played with a man down and Sweden couldn't even crack the Albanian defense and Sweden played with their whole A team of course since this is an important event.
Remember how I say Vedad Ibiševic will score will he scored in the 66 mins so far he has 1 assist and 1 goal in the game.
it was the same thing both ways. the US team was a C team at best(plus donovan). they went all mls players in that game.
That is bullshit! You are just saying that so you can be oh yeah we beat Sweden C team, trust me I know you guys played your A team. Swedens A team would crush your A team any day.
Now you're just making an ass of yourself. Trust the Bosnian in a debate with US supporters about who the US played in a Sweden game? Seriously? The roster was 17 MLS players and Jeremiah White. Brad Guzan started in goal, he's second choice. This was his sixth cap overall and his first of three starts in 08. The defense was Drew Moor, Eddie Robinson, Jimmy Conrad, and Ramiro Corrales. Robinson and Conrad haven't played for the US since, and I'm not even sure they have been called in for practice since. Corrales was playing for the first time since 1997. Moor was getting his third cap and first of three this year. In midfield, we had Landon Donovan, Ricardo Clark, Maurice Edu, and Brad Davis. Donovan is our top player. Ricardo Clark got his 11th cap in this game and has split time with Edu, Mastroeni and Kljestan since. Edu, as I said, is in the rotation next to Michael Bradley, but this was his third cap and first of two starts this year. Brad Davis got his third cap, first since the 05 Gold Cup, and he has not been capped since. Taylor Twellman and Pat Noonan were the forwards. This was Noonan's 11th cap, but it was his only action of 08. This was Twellman's 29th cap, but his only one of 08. Off the bench, Clarence Goodson and Jeremiah White got their first and only caps ever. Chris Rolfe was playing for the first time since 06 and did not play again until the meaningless match against Guatemala a few days ago. Michael Parkhust picked up his third cap and didn't play again until the same meaningless match against Guatemala I just mentioned. Sacha Kljestan picked up his fifth cap and is in that same rotation I mentioned with Edu and Clark. Jozy Altidore got his second cap ever and still hasn't established himself as a regular. Steve Cronin was the back up keeper and did not play and will probably never play for the US National Team. This group, which you erroneously allege is our A-Team, has exactly one regular starter (Donovan), a backup keeper (Guzan), a couple of rotational players in midfield and forward (Edu, Clark, Altidore) and 6 additional 08 caps among the remaining 13 players on the roster.
sweden's whatever team that was lost to a team made up of players from the "gay mls that the rest of the world mocks and laughs at".
you sell altidore a little short. he should be starting for the US every meaningful game, no question about it. of course at the time, it was just his 2nd cap as you said and he was still playing in the mls.
why is it that people in europe can never have reasonable discussions about the US team? claiming that the US is not in the top 50 teams in the world and claiming the team that played sweden was the A team are beyond ridiculous statements.
He should be starting for the US in every meaningful game, but that hasn't happened yet. The only US forwards worth calling in are Altidore, Davies, and Cooper.
There's a lot that I disagree with from this post, but the highlighted part is simply asinine. Watch the US play Mexico in February and tell me those players don't have any passion.
