Could we win our next 8 games to tie last years streak? @Washington @Boston @Toronto Orlando @Utah LA Clippers Sacramento Phoenix The Clippers, Kings, Raptors, and Wizards shouldn't be too bad, But Phoenix, Utah, Orlando, and Boston scare me.
I think it'll be easier later in December....when we have 5-6 home games in a row or something. They're against tough teams, but the way we're playing at home...
Four very losable games. Even assuming we beat the other teams that we "should" beat, I don't think that a 13 game streak based on that schedule is very likely at all. Ed O.
Phoenix is one of the games. So, no. They have magic powers when it comes to the Trailblazers. And it's in Phoenix.
Really? We've played Phoenix in Phoenix twice already. The league wouldn't schedule three road games against one team.
There are definitely some games where we will be the underdog, but would how many of us thought we would win 13 in a row when we did last season?
I'm positive the Phoenix game is home, Thursday 12/18. Makes me feel a little better but they still seem to have our number. I'll go, in order of concern: 1A) Boston 1B) Phoenix 4) Utah
I'm just saying that last year's 13 game winning streak was very home game heavy, and and there was no shortage of mediocre teams sprinkled thoughout. I'm not predicting a bad road trip for the Blazers, in fact I suspect they have a very good chance to win 2 out of the next 3, but I see Boston in Boston as a bridge too far. Frankly I think the 13 and 6 record we have now is much more substantial and satisfying than the 13 game streak from last year, because it's come against much higher quality opponents. In fact I'd be pleased as hell if the longest winning streak we have all year is nothing more than 7 or 8 games at a stretch, but we get several of them, and I think that is far more probable and will be a far better indicator of this team's quality.
Ah, right. I wasn't thinking about that, I was just looking at what JFizzle posted, which originally said "@Phoenix."
I doubt it and to be honest, I do not care about a streak. I just want to break the no-playoffs streak. Win enough games to get there - in any order that is required.
I wouldn't say that this is "definitely not possible" but I would say that it's highly unlikely. However, Indiana beat LA today, so spoiling the Celtics would be sweet.
