I hear ya Minstrel. I think the scary thing is that we're not even consistently playing our best basketball. It's obvious. I think we've seen some flashes of it, with our blowouts of Chicago and Miami, but we still have some rough patches. This team has so much talent. So many scorers. So much firepower. I think we're the deepest team in the league. We proved it last night against the Knicks. Teams run out of gas against us.

I'm just curious what will happen when Webster comes back...

It's becoming crystal clear who the odd men out are:

    Channing Frye
    Jerryd Bayless

Frye has been a disappointment. His mid-range jumper is valuable. It's just a shame he doesn't do anything else.

Yeah I like Frye but he is going to be the odd man out when Webster comes back IMO. Even with Frye not playing other players might lose a little time. I hope it isn't Rudy.

I don't think Bayless is the odd man out. I think he's going to be worked into the rotation eventually. I still believe a trade will happen at some point.

It's crazy that we're on top of the division with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best records in the conference.

Another game where Portland just looks average. They coast, coast, and coast some more, and then when it matters, they play with just enough intensity to take the advantage and finish the game with the "W". Aside from the highlight reel excitement Rudy and Sergio often provide, or the rim-rocking dunks of Oden, I think last year's team provided more exciting games. Last year was filled with close games and I often had doubt about the end result until the final buzzer sounded. I enjoyed last season. It was a good year, watching the development of the guys like Roy and Aldridge.

However, I have a weak heart, and I now enjoy knowing on most days Portland is going to win on most nights! Even on the road, even with slow starts... Go Blazers!

Man, I am so pumped for Boston. They've won ten straight, we've won six straight. On National TV.

It could be a major boost of confidence to win that one.

How long until Butler asks for a trade?

    3-14 is horrific.

Sheed still was worth more to this franchise than Bobby Gross ever was. Yeah, tell me what he was his last two years here, I know. But the excitement and emotion he brought, it was amazing. And with little effort, he was still amazing. Too bad he often put forth NO effort.

I just don't like retiring numbers unless the player was god-like.... hall of famer.... Michael Jordan... Magic Johnson... Wilt.... Guys like that.... I love Terry Porter but I just don't think he and Gross are number-retiring material.

I hate retiring numbers, period. I'd go for putting up a jersey of your best players, but there's no reason to retire the number. The Blazers are and always will be more important than any one player

I remember a team that won like 21 games in a whole season.

While it might be true that Rasheed was "worth more" (which is debatable, considering how vital Bobby was to the championship series), Terry Porter trumps them both.

Its amazing to see that record, know it was the worst in the league, and see not one but two top draft prospects from that draft in our starting lineup... and neither was #1 because we got the worst possible pick for our record.

This shows just how detached from the Blazers Title Team most current fans are, but it's not their fault.

Most of them weren't fans back then and many weren't even born yet.

It wasn't just making the playoffs.

It wasn't just winning the title.

It had a lot to do with how they did it.

I would retire every players number from that season and I revere each and every one for their amazing accomplishment.

If you were a fan back then and followed the whole season, I don't have to explain how special they were as a team.

If you weren't and didn't, there's no way I can explain.

    You had to be there.

Heck with banners. I think we should get a bronze statue of either Clyde Drexler or Jack Ramsey.
