http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview?gid=2008120502 On ESPN. The most anticipated Blazer game of the year (so far), if you don't count that steaming turd we had on opening night. Wonder if Jon Barry will have yet another drool fest over Rudy. I swear, the dude has a serious case of hombre amor, where it makes even a Blazerphile like me feel a little uncomfortable. I just don't want to see opening night happen again. Anything but that will be a success, IMO.
Part of me hopes the Blazers win because it would mean so much more to you guys. To me, it's just another game.
Well said Thrilla, we're the champs after all, we're not chasing records. (I personally want them too but oh well)
You know, that's mighty nice of you. I'm not proud, I'll take other people's scraps and cast-away games. While this is "just another game" to you, it is much more to me and, I believe, most Blazer fans. I hope that the Celtic players feel as you do, that this is "just another game" and they can just mail it in. Also hope, that after the Blazers spank the C's that you come back, without excuses, and repeat that "it doesn't really matter - it's just another game". Gramps...
Nah, you guys better enjoy your time at the top as long as possible. After all, your core is soooooo OLD. The Celtics will be wallowing in lottery land for years watching the Blazers compete for titles.
If it was just another game, why would you be posting your thoughts on our board? You know you want to win this game. And I almost feel terribly sorry for you. It's going to be very hard on you after this demoralizing defeat at the hands of the mighty Trail Blazers! Suck it Celtics!
Pierce has never seen the likes of Batum. Ray Allen hasn't went up against THIS level of Brandon Roy. KG is going to wish he kept his bitch-ass mouth shut, because LaMarcus is going to show him up tonight, both offensively and defensively. And poor, Kendrick Perkins. He won't know what hit him after Oden and Przybilla tag-team his ass. Oh and I forgot about how Rudy, Sergio, and Travis will run circles around their bench. Really, why would the Celts even show up tonight.
You know considering how young the Blazers were last season (youngest team in NBA History), you'd think they would have dominated us last year. They couldn't. Not even with the assistance of the refs.
This is the most important game of the season for the Blazers. They have a chance to make a statement against the NBA's most elite team on their home court. Right now the Blazers are playing inspired ball, this win can give them a lot of confidence going forward.
I just hope we don't see a bunch of trade (name here) threads here if we lose. I can just see it now...
Why wait? Trade Raef! If we didn't have him on this team, I'm sure we would have won by even more! Gramps...
