If Harris is the best PG in the East, is Carter the best SG in the East?

Not that the two achievements are related, but Harris has been getting a lot of pub from the media as being the top PG in the East... and deservedly so.

But less has been focused on Carter. He's averaging the usual 22/5/5, but his percentages from the field and 3 are at all time highs (47% and 40%), making two 3's a game, and (almost) a career low 1.9 TOs. More importantly the Nets are 11-8 and 5th in the East.

Considering only teams currently in the playoff race, only Joe Johnson and Dwyane Wade are contenders. Most likely, Wade is the top East SG with monster numbers of 29/5/8 with 2.4 steals and 1.8 blocks. But he averages a horrible 4 TO's a game and has a non-existant 3pt shot. Also, his team has a worse record with arguably equal or better talent. I was really wowwed by JJ when he went against the Nets though. He looked like a true superstar.

    What do you guys think?

Nope. I think VC is 2nd best SG in the East, behind Dwyane Wade.

Makes sense, but I wonder how many people thought VC would be a top 2 or 3 SG in the East. I bet most thought he was done, especially after those inane Magic Johnson comments on national TV.

Oh, I agree. Everyone thought he was finished. Even though he played great basketball following the Kidd trade on a bum ankle. People just thought he was finished. I watch every Nets game, so I know how good VC still is. And Magic Johnson is an idiot. VC still has it.

Carter has been very good this year (much better then I was expecting to be honest). I'll have to think about it for a bit to see where I'd rank him, but so far Wade has to be #1. That much I'm sure about

I dislike Wade, but he is the best SG in the East no doubt.

D-Wade has played out of his mind this year. It reminds me of Kobe back in....2006, I believe, where he had the 81pt game, the 62 in 3 quarters, all the 40pt games....this Wade season so far has looked about the same.

Wade is definitely better than him. Then it's a toss up between him and Joe Johnson. He's definitely a top 3 SG in the East. Both Harris and Carter should be on the All-Star team if they keep up the current pace and the team stays consistent and above .500.

I'd put both Wade and Johnson above him, but VC is having an incredible season nonetheless.

D-wade VC and then JJ for me. VC's leadership this year separates the two imo.
