    go to the 4:50 mark

quick calls oden a downer to be around. and his teammates feel the same. wow

" i dont have any interest in talking to him"

and in all honesty...you can see it when oden is on the bench, he looks like somebody who ran over a 5 yr old kid. and people wonder why pritchard wants conley. oden is sulking. maybe we do make adeal with memphis. i iwll say warrick is prob better for us then outlaw. sergio is better then conley.

what happened to the happy, goofy oden from summer? there's no personality on the court...look at Shaq...its ok to show some emotion and still be a great center.

I posted this in another thread... but Oden actually showed emotion in this game (at least it looked that way to me). He will get it back.

I think possibly Quick is upset because Oden is still mad at him for his underwhelming statement he made earlier. He did say the players seem to still like Oden and that is all I care about. I could care less if Quick doesn't want to talk to Oden or even likes him. I do still want to see Oden playing and having fun though.

Yeah, its all about having fun. Oden needs to get back to that point. Not for anyone else, just for himself. He needs to remember what it was like when he first started playing, and enjoy it.

Screw having fun. The NBA is a business, and just because someone isn't yucking it up and high-fiving doesn't mean that he doesn't take his job seriously.

I guess I understand why someone would ask Quick about his impression of Oden as a personality. I'm not sure why his answer would matter at all, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Oden is a little down about his play so far this year. Once he proves himself in the NBA, I bet he'll be a much happier fellow.

Shows how much anyone listens to The Fan these days.. that interview was a week old, and now it gets talked about here and the OLive forum.
Anyway, I hope Greg gets over his depression if he truly is unhappy. He needs to let all that anger out on the court, and just play ball.

well it basically confirms that the memphis rumor is very true. that rumor came out 5 days before this one.

conley will be odens babysitter. $1000 bucks conley is a blazer by next year even if he doesnt dress most nights.

Quick not getting along with Oden confirms that we want to trade for Conley? That's some weird logic there.

Quick has pointed out several times over the years that it is very important for players to be enjoyable to interview. Because if they are not...........Fuck I can't remember what that moron said next, but it's really important. So for the good of all Blazermania please Greg kiss his ass.

I have to say that Oden has all the earmarks of a bust. We're all afraid to say it but it might be true. I hope it's not true. I really really hope it's not true. But so far, it doesn't look good.

Oh man...All the crap I heard from you about how Oden is the greatest thing since sliced bread coming into this year and now you say this this early in the season...wow.

Would you actually say Bynum>Oden now and for their careers? :devilwink:

He has produced. That's not the sign of a bust.

Other than an actual ability to play basketball at a high level while coming off of a pretty significant knee surgery and taking a year off? I agree he has all the earmarks of a bust.

He's not even close to having played a quarter of a season yet in his career, and he leads our team in double-doubles with seven, and he's a bust already? I think he's looked considering the circumstances, and continues to improve every game out.
