It's Roy, Durant is a chucker and I don't think he will ever be as good as Roy is right now.

Durant is actually scoring pretty efficiently this year. He's shooting 46% from the floor, 50% from the arc, and he's an 85% free throw shooter. To call him a chucker is pretty unjustifiable, considering his numbers this year.

As for the question, I'll take Durant. He may not be as good as Roy is now, but he'll be better than Roy in a couple years. He's got all sorts of ways he can score the ball and he's only going to get better on both ends of the court. His ceiling is a lot higher than Roy's if you ask me.

calling him a chucker this year is unjustifiable, but I don't like the guy and don't think he will be as good as Roy. His team absolutely sucks. To me he will always be a guy who puts up big numbers on bad teams. IF his teams ever start winning then I'll eat crow, but I just don't see him as a guy who can be the #1 guy on a winning team

Well the talent on his team will always be beyond his control. You can't blame him for putting up great numbers on a shit team, when he had nothing to do with assembling that shit team. Better than putting up mediocre numbers on a shit team.

I'm tempted to say Durant, but that's still a bit risky. Roy's already established himself as an elite NBA player, while its too early in Durant's career for him to have done that. I think OKC's got to start playing Durant at the 3 soon.

Brandon Roy. I think Durant will be a great player, but I don't know if he'll be one of those winning players. At least, not as much as Roy.

IT was idiotic of OKC to take Jeff Green in the same draft. Sucks for them because I think he is there 2nd best player

JFizzle, how about this. Take Durant off the Thunder, and put on Roy. How many more wins do they have?

Well, from my understanding, they've already moved him back to the SF.

As for his team, he can't help that they've assembled an awful team around him. The talent on the team is out of his control. I think if you trade him to a contender, he'd put up just as good of numbers as he is right now. I really don't see that as an issue with him. When you can score, you can score regardless of how good or how shit your team is.

Brandon as a rookie had almost as bad of a team as OKC and they were never 2-20

The only other good player they had was Randolph and he is absolutely horrible

My inclination would be to say not many. I don't think one player can make a huge difference on that team, unless it's someone like a Kobe Bryant or a LeBron James, players that can win games by themselves. With Brandon Roy, they might be on pace for more than 7 wins, but I don't think they'd be THAT much better.

Randolph isn't a bad player, he's just not a player that's ever going to be able to lead a team to a championship. He'd be a great 2nd or 3rd option, but he's just not meant to be a cornerstone of a franchise.

Honestly, I don't see how you can call a 20/10 guy horrible, even if he is a cancer of a player and black hole on defense. He can score the ball and rebound well, and those are good skills to have.

I've watched him play. I'm aware of his incompetence, but I'm also aware of his ability to score. He's a 20/10 guy, and that's not a bad thing to be. Too bad it's a very hollow 20/10 and he plays zero defense, but he can score, and that's worth something in this league.

Yeah he puts up 20/10, but what is that worth when he gives up just as many if not more points.

Randolph is such a horrible teammate a substantial Blazer player that year told management he wanted him gone

Wasn't it just easier to say "Roy wanted him gone", Fizzle?

I was pretty sure it was Roy, but I wasn't 100% and was too lazy to look it up to confirm.

Like I said...he's got his flaws, but he can still score the ball, and that's always worth something in the NBA. Maybe not as much as he's getting paid, but something.
