Really? I've had it since it came out and haven't had any trouble. XP was the worst operating system I ever used.

I just bought a new DELL XPS yesterday. I thought about getting it with XP, but went ahead and got Vista. I hope I'm not sorry.

I keep on trying to use their Digital locker downloads...a service that they are stopping in 09 due to them being retards. Microsoft is so ass backwards with their online shit.......

Its in the control panel, try to go to "My Digital Locker" where I have content, can't even access it.

I've had no problem with Vista being slow. In fact, it's been much faster than XP on my previous laptop.

Of course, this laptop has 4 gigs of memory, a 2.0 Core2Duo, and that laptop has a 1.2 single cord and 768 RAM.

Xericx, my guess is that the laptop you are using is probably not up to snuff. Vista requires a lot of RAM to run, as do most OS's that have similar capabilities. 99% of new PC's have no problems, but the problems you're mentioning with it freezing and going slow are textbook RAM problems.

Your issue is with the computer's capabilities and not Vista's.

I've been running Vista on my home PC for well over a year now and I've had zero problems and found it to be anything but slow and clunky. It's actually quite fast.

    No. 4GB RAM, Lenovo X61

Its just so clunky...processes are not bad, but the menu system is garbled IMO and its just retarded compared to XP. Hope this shit dies

Just so used to XP, they put this pile of steaming crap on us. Wish I ordered XP Pro on this thing instead.

I have no idea where you're coming from on this one. I just got a new computer two days ago, and was prompted if I wanted to connect once the OS was fully installed. There was absolutely no difficulty in it.

Agreed. I've put Vista on 3 or 4 of my friends computers, and it is the easiest thing ever.
