I'm not sure how that makes it a race. My Grandparents are were born in Italy, parents speak italian, I have dark hair and skin and my name ends in a vowel. That doesn't make Italian a race.

That place would be too full with Christians to have any room for me.

So in your mind, Abraham was different than David Koresh...how?

I mean, if you're going to deny God, then a dude fathering a race from multiple wives b/c God told him he would is not that much different that David Koresh fathering a cult from multiple wives because God told him to.

Christianity isn't the gatekeeper of lazy minds.

it takes no double standard to believe in both evolution and the bible.

for someone who's just blindly going along with the crowd perhaps not, but for someone who is basing their belief in evolution on any kind of rational view of empirical evidence it does by definition.

obviously, short of someone documenting a similar modern miracle in a controlled setting, there can be no objective evidence that jesus rose from the dead or worked a single miracle. in fact there's barely any objective anthropological evidence that gospel stories are based on an actual single historical figure.

but there IS plenty of evidence that people tend to be easily fooled en masse into believing false metaphysical claims and/or use subjective personal internal experiences as "evidence" to fool themselves into false belief, and that religions/cults have historically frequently stemmed from such delusions. and there is no objective evidence that would distinguish christianity from any other religion or cult in that regard. belief in the factuality of metphysical claims in the bible requires something that supercedes a rational view of objective evidence (faith or whatever you want to call it), hence the double standard.

I also don't consider myself religious, and not a part of any religion. But I believe in God, and I have a relationship w/ God, and I read the bible and try to learn more about him, along w/ trying to follow what the Bible says (but don't take it to some extremes like many people do).

But i'm not someone who believes you need to go to church, or need to be a missionary (though I would like to do this), or anything like that, which is part of certain religions. I don't think cussing is bad, I don't think drinking is bad, I really am not against doing drugs, thouh I think when it controls you (addiction) it is bad. I don't think girls should always where skirts (like a baptist school I used to go to said) or w/e.

The church I attend passes out fliers that says that religion is something that separates you from God.

I think a lot of people stereotype Christians, and I think people of faith really get judged, and its sad. Like if you are gay, I have nothing against you, and I actually think you are awesome, and would be pissed to see someone speak out against gays and call them out. I think we are at a point in society where we can get past that and open our minds. I just figure that if we can get past that, and race, and gender, why can't we get past what religion people have, or if they believe in god? Or creation?

But about Bush, I really haven't liked him for a while. And if he believes in God or not, I don't think what he does should reflect your views on anyone else.

I'm still wondering why Drink your milkshake is still here? or at least not edited? I thought personal attacks were not allowed here? and he just attacked and asked for the killing of a entire group of people?

How is pointing out the poster's obvious ignorance on this matter an attack or an insult?

I also notice you said nothing about the vulgar attacks by the original poster directed at others in this thread.

    Bias?

Moderating only happens to those the mods don't agree with.

It's the same thing at happened at BBF. Different standards of moderating based on subjective standards. It is a recipe for a board meltdown.

    Bump

Mods here don't care if posters suggest killing people based on their religious preference.

The mods care. Ed O posted about it in this thread.

Ed O. had harsher words for me based on me posting threads about players rumored to be traded to the players.

I said this should be OT; he said it's fair game on the Blazer board.

Instead, I get the nasty PMs while other posters offer to exterminate people based on their religion and get nothing in return.

Hell of a board here, Denny.

I'm offended, but when it comes to talk of religion and politics about half the people are going to be offended one way or another.

On one hand, we don't want to squash free speech of a political nature. On the other, people who say assanine things do earn a reputation for themselves.

Sometimes you have to fight "bad" speech with better speech. Bullying people doesn't win the argument.

    Bump this thread.

The mods here allow posters to advocate the extermination of people based solely on their religion.

Calling for and then allowing the postings for the killing of people does nothing to advance any point of debate.

Again, what kind of board are you running here?

I think the outrage at his comments speaks a lot louder than his posts do about what kind of site this is.
