Wake up, Cavs GM, Thorn only robs people, not gets robbed by people. He is not even a GM of Grizzlies. You want Carter? Throw in LeBron, or no way.
Would Nets fans be willing to gift wrap a ring to LeBron by doing this move? It's not like the Cavs have a whole bunch of draft picks and young players to give in exchange like in the Kidd deal. Chances are LeBron would be so happy in Cleveland he might even stay there in 2010.
this is true....I mean of course they're trying to clear up room for Bron, but Vince (although he's soft) would automatically make the Cavs the favorites to go all the way................not to mention he and Bron would be a damn highlight film every night.
Wally for Carter's toenails, maybe. For all you dyslexic Cavs GMs out there, his name is "Rob" Thorn, not "Rod".
They really have nothing that could interest the Nets besides LeBron... What could they offer for VC? Sczerbiak and 20 first round picks in the next 40 seasons? That's still not enough imo....
I do not want to see VC go. He's my favorite player, and I've been following his career since UNC. When he got drafted, I stopped watching NCAA (minus March Madness). If I owned the Nets, I'd gladly extend VC's contract another ten years. If he were to be traded to the Cavs, I'd be devastated. But I would immediately buy league pass to see LBJ and VC tear up the league. That'd be entertaining. If VC had to be traded, I'd probably want him in New Orleans though. I feel like VC can help them out a lot.
If you've watched Vince with the nets and review the top free throw getters in the league as well as top crunchtime scorers for the last 6 years you'll see that vince is always near the top or in the top 10. That's hardly soft in my opinion but you know what keep listening to the national media. Cleveland is crazy if they think VC is just worth cap relief and one of their shitty prospects. They don't have a single young player besides Lebron that has the potential to be a starter. If the bobcats could get Diaw and Bell for Jason Richardson, then I think we can get a better deal than cap space wally plus garbage for Vince.
New Orleans is stupid they had JR Smith. They ruined a good thing. The could;ve developed JR into what Peja Stojakovic is today and then some, would've saved a lot of money. Just another example of Byron being too arrogant and disagreeable.
there is no way carter is getting traded this year nd maybe not even next...u see wat he is doin with HARRIS.. 6 words... BEST BACK COURT IN THE NBA... Ron (rob) thorn will b an idiot if he breaks up that back court :
Yeah.......he's still soft, lol. I've heard those arguments from Vince fans before, but the fact remains that at times he can fall in love with the jumper, has admitted to quitting, has been called soft by teammates (most notably Jason Kidd), and isn't someone who I'd trust leading the way in the post season......... damn...........are you for real???? lol
Yeah lol. Well think about it -- who was mildly entertaining in 2000-2002? I think the next time I watched some NCAA was to check out Wade and Melo.
If you were not a Nets fan, just be quiet, Kidd never said that, and Vince always plays as tough as he can in the Nets era. Only missed few games less than 5 or so. Don't try to troll here, keep dreaming, good boy.
For those guys who think Carter was quitting, must read this. You know, Vince wasn't meaning he quited for Toronto, he just told the truth that he had really good talents, and those spoiled him, right now he is not younger anymore, he has to work out harder, Don't be fooled by the reporter, think twice about the truth, if you were an intelligent human.
he is just too innocent, if he had been smart enough, he should have said "yes, I played very hard for Toronto, and I love that city, but right now it's time to move on" but he is just too damn honest, that's why he gets hated in Toronto, he is just a good person.
The fifth clutch player currently in the league, and the fifteenth player in PER. Yes, he is just so soft, and as soft as Olajuwan in his late career.
I see Marc Stein is still trying to sell his "trade Carter" theory. What's with that guy, he's been on this ever since the draft. Carter is playing like an All-Star this season. Who in their right mind would trade him for Wally Z? Stein is on crack, most people and writers would agree to stick with what's working. The team is out performing expectations.
