Or maybe the chick was a dirty whore? I am not defending Kobe but it's not really rape when the chick is a nasty whore with 3 different busted nuts in her draws.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!

But seriously, are we picking them based on their taste in women or life choices? No, we're talking about starting a team today. That's exactly why I would pick Roy. It makes more sense financially, and for the long term. I could have Roy and almost any superstar I wanted, because he's still on his rookie contract. Plenty of money to spend, and get shooters, defensive stoppers, etc.

With Kobe, he eats up all the money, and realistically if I was STARTING a team I would not be able to recruit the people that Kobe is playing with today.

This must be a joke. No educated person is so ignorant of the definition of rape or even a general notion of the definition.

And, thanks for you and Maris vandalizing a legit thread with your in-the-gutter bullshit.

Just because you and Maris have chronic dirty thoughts does not mean you need to share with the group.

I for one don't care what you think on the subject and don't want to hear your unfiltered spewings.

Obviously you care otherwise you wouldn't have posted this big thread displaying just how much you care. If you didn't care you would have read it and moved on.

I care that (yet another) thread was hijacked.

I can't believe it was that difficult to figure that out, thus requiring it to be stated.

Getting back to the topic at hand, if you're looking for the guy who's going to consistently put up the biggest stats, you go with Kobe.

If you're looking for the team leader, who's always willing to do what it takes to get his teammates into the game and cares more about wins than his legacy, you go with Roy.

Roy's my pick, and it's not even close.

If you are "buildiing" a team then I would assume that you are not quite ready to win it all. So age and leadership is a huge factor. Kobe is questionably one of the top 10 players of all time and Roy will never be in that discussion. But for the city of Portland I would choose BROY. you never know for sure but I see him in a Blazer Uniform for 10 more years. Kobe's ego would give us 3 years max.

I'd have to go with Kobe due to ablity to take over games, Roy is a top guard, but Kobe is the top guard. Only player better than Kobe IMO is Lebron James and since he isn't listed I'd take Kobe over Roy, but with that being said I think that Roy is going to have a very good career when it's all said and done.

    Its gotta be Kobe.

He is only 30, and doesn't have an injury history. He will give you a good 4-5 seasons. Kobe is borderline top 20 player of all time, and right there in the top 3 players in the NBA right now.

I love Roy though. Its harder when you look outside their games and look at age, and how they act off the court, and how much Roy means to our community, his unselfishness and ability to play and shine with others and stuff. But from a pure bball standpoint, you pick Kobe, and once he gets older you can trade him. :)

I'd pick leBron over both of them though. As LeBron will easily be a top 10 player of all time. But if I could also get a Dwight Howard, i think i'd probably go w/ Roy/Howard instead of Kobe/Howard as the first will get you sooo many championships in the next 10 years its not even funny.

Edit - whoever said Kobe is even w/ Jordan is not right, imo. Jordan is arguably the GOAT while Kobe, imo, isn't evne the best player RIGHT NOW. Kobe is probably in the 15-22 range of the best players ever. Unless you are talkin' about the Washington Jordan, then Kobe is better than him for sure.

Eh Kobe is clearly on a downslide, and his jumper has just been awful this year. I would take Roy and not even think twice about it. Clearly Kobe is not the player he was even 3 to 4 years ago. The argument many people are making here is that Kobe can take over a game, I would argue that not to the level he used to be able to. And I think it's apparent that when Roy gets the mindset, he can do the exact same thing. Roy currently, is the much more efficient player, and with age disparity I would take Roy easily. Kobe in his prime, I'd definitely take him.
