Gooden is out and Noc is reported to be starting. All I can say is hmmm.... I think he'll probably matchup with Okur though with Noah hopefully on Millsap (couldn't be Gray, could it?). Last year in, iirc, BG started on Deron and the bigs collapsed on Deron as he came off the pick with Kirk chasing the shooters like Kyle Korver, and it was largely successful. The Bulls also beat the Jazz earlier this season a last second shot by Hughes. Should be interesting.
Gray on Millsap to start, Noc on Okur, Jazz are switching it, could be to the Bulls advantage if Noc is hot from outside. But the Bulls have started with three long jumpers.
I know this is kinda' P.C. of me, but I hate it when is see the word "gay" used like this. After the ugliness the gay community got in the form of Prop 8, I think we can do better.
After running a few plays unsuccessfully, bulls went to isolations. As long as they attack the basket, it seems to be working.
A disturbing trend is starting to develop, and that is, the Bulls are a better team when Rose is out of the game, but Gordon stays in. I think there is a few reasons for this. The first is Rose is horrible defensively, and the defense improves when he goes out of the game. Secondly, Gordon is a better first option than Rose, but Rose plays as the first option when they're both in the game. And third, the other guys seem more energized with Gordon, probably because they feel like they might get the ball with Gordon in. Rose is a ballhog.
I go for impersonal integrity myself. It's good for having people respect your opinion but still not give much of a shit about it. ------------ There's a race on... will the feed load for me before Gray picks up his second foul?
BG is better when he gets the ball, dribbles up the court and tries to score. He doesn't catch and shoot nearly as well. Happened again tonight. Two of the first three plays were for him and he bricked. Rose goes out, BG goes to the point, dribbles up and the three of the next four times down doesn't pass at all. He was effective on the three where he didn't pass, got two fouls on Deron Williams. But the one time he pulled up and didn't shoot he couldn't pass out of it and the bulls got a bad shot. If BG can get to the rim it works. If he can't it's a turnover or a bad force for somebody else. Rose isn't a ballhog, he's a point guard. And it's not necessarily a bad thing. BG can't beat 50% of the guys in the league and score. But it doesn't work against good teams.
