What the fuck was that? I have an idea Nate. When you can't rebound the ball, STOP PLAYING A FUCKING SMALL LINEUP!

Oh and you might want to try to involve Roy before we're down 7 with two minutes to go.

Oh and STOP FUCKING TELLING YOUR TEAM TO SWITCH ALL PICK AND ROLLS.

That was a disgusting loss that should have never happened. That fourth quarter management was a joke.

I don't know how "small" your lineup is matters when a 5'11 PG is racking up offensive rebounds like it's going out of style.

Agree on the P&R. At least switch it up some, so it doesn't become your opponents' go-to play in crunch time.

I'm glad after three years people are starting to realize that it isn't the players entirely that are the cause for concern on offense and defense. Several different groups of players all who are doing/did the same thing reflects on the coach or some really great universal coincidence.

If I see our bigs guarding PG's anymore this season I will more than likely kick my tv in.

The sad thing is that McMuffin probably has the best job security in the league. I can't see us ever winning a title with the way that guy teaches pick-and-roll defense, or the way he manages substitutions.

I'm ready for a new coach. A new coach and a new point guard.

I just posted this in the game thread. People are blaming Oden for crying out loud. The "coach" has this guy messed up beyond belief. He was better in preseason. Go back and watch the games people, Oden was better before he had been exposed to part of a regular season under McNumbnuts.

I heard them say Nate has a "plan" for Oden. I hope Paul Allen has a plan to apologize to us fans in a few years if this nimrod is still coach. Has anyone EVER seen him take advantage of any opportunity that could help the team. I don't know, like DIRK NO DEFENSE Nowitski having 4 fouls on him early in the second half?

I will say that a TON of shots from the field and the ft line went in and out tonight for the team but still, this team needs a coach and a pg bad.

I've been on the train for over two seasons myself. The real kicker was last season in Philadelphia when he just got incredibly out-coached by Mo Cheeks and lost that game when we were up 20 or something. We made no adjustments at all.

He is a great motivator and would make a good assistant coach. I've got nothing personal with him but I know that if we want this team to be all it can be we must find another coach.

I think you just summed up all my frustration. Nate was great for our young team but it is time for a change. I've been thinking about this for the past 2 weeks. Tonight's game confirmed to me, Nate has to go.
People bitch about Oden but in my opinion it is the coach’s fault. I haven’t seen Shaq defending out at the 3 point line in 15 years as Oden in 20 games.
Nowitzki had 4 fouls with 9:03 left in the third. He sat until the 4 minutes mark and did not pick up his 5th until the end of the game. Nate is a dumb ass not exploiting that situation. With Howard gone we would have won easily.

Also, Dallas had 4 fouls on them with 6+ minutes to go in the second. What did we do? Shot 6 straight jumpers. Great coaching and it happens every game.

Whom would you guys like to see replace Nate?

I called for Carlisle last season, but some of you over BBF said he was not too fond of the open court game (which could be a staple of our team).

    I like Van Gundy.

2 Great example of why we keep Nate. Oh and the Roy fuck up in the 4th....was Brandon's. He kept deferring to travis and then it was too late. (He looked tired tonight at the end.)

Oh, c'mon. Everyone gets outcoached by Mo. The way he puts his head in his hands is devastating.

Van Gundy could be an option. I would take a look it Musselman. I have problem with Nate not having a contract for next year. We'll make the playoff this year and give him a 5 year extension. We’ll not fire him in the first 2-3 years of the new contract. By then our team either broken up due to lack of success or our players sign with other teams due to cap space. ..Or they don’t develop to their full potential under our current coaching staff.

I said it a few weeks ago, Fez did I think as well as a bunch of other guys. Tom Thibodeau. I probably couldn't pick the guy out of a lineup but from everything I have read he would be perfect for this team.

I would rather hire a nobody out of college who has a brilliant mind than another retread.

I'd go for Van Gundy. I know people think he's crazy and psychotic, but he'd at least put in defensive schemes that wouldn't leave our 7 center and 6'11 power foward on the perimeter because we've decided we're going to switch on ever pick and let them pick up fouls for no reason what so ever.

i agree that part of the problem is how greg is being used. i don't think we've ever seen a #1 pick who never had plays run for him. even when dirk and brandon bass are checking him.

nate is far too rigid as a coach. slow to adapt, unable to innovate. mavs were killing us with quickness tonight, but he never matched the quickness, nor did he make them pay with size. he just has no "feel" for the nuances of the NBA. and it's his 8th freaking year as a head coach.

what would you say about a player who seemed like he'd be a really great player, who had all the tools to be a star, yet always came up short or made an bad mistake at a bad time? what if there was always an excuse -- like their youth, an injury, a bad break -- but the just seemed to keep treading water. for 8 years. 8 long years...

folks, you'd have al harrington. you'd have derrick coleman. or lamar odom. or macgrady... and after 8 years, you'd know for sure that the player was unlikely to ever get better. well, nate is the coach version of such a player. he's been an NBA coach for a long, long time. yes the talent he's had to work with has been suspect at times, but not always. his teams have just barely exceeded expectations for 8 years. i think we know what we are getting out of him as a coach at this point. and it's not enough if we ever want to win a title.

i'd love to see what a jeff van gundy could do with this roster. or even better, a euro coach who could run some really innovative stuff.
