Rice with the line of the night.

    "Brandon who?"

    LOL

The one thing I will say about his absence is that our team moved A LOT more on offense without him tonight.

I said it in the game thread it was probably a good thing; these other guys needed to show themselves that they could step up when there was nobody else to save them. Hopefully they can carry the lesson forward.

You guys are insane, talking about trading Brandon.

He'll make a fine practice player. No need to trade him.

B-Roy, the rights to Joel Freeland, and a future #1 for Gerald Wallace?

Not enough? Let's throw in Bayless, maybe Outlaw?

What do you guys think? I think it's a good deal for both sides.

    Puke.

    B-Roy for D. Lee?

Amen to that. Tough to replace someone of Roy's caliber in the lineup, but I was hopeful it would require the rest of the team to play as a TEAM instead of relying on him. I don't even consider it so much a matter of the others stepping up as them simply moving the ball around more. They need to figure out how to continue that when Roy is back in the mix.

And speaking of movement, that was by far the most active and under control I've seen Oden this year.

hopefully what brandon took out of this game is he can feel free to move the ball and trust a little more in his teammates. he doesn't have to go 1 on 5 for long stretches.

You know people originally complained that Roy didn't take more shots earlier in games while he preferred setting up other players. Now that he is taking more shots people are saying he shouldn't. I do agree that we run the risk of the same thing that happen with Zach. When jumpers were falling we moved the ball around and played team ball, but when they weren't we usually just threw it into Zach and stood around expecting him to save the day. We need to keep moving and not rely to heavily on one player. That's not to say Roy won't be his usual clutch self in the 4th, but we can't only rely on that.
