Houston Chronicle thinks so: http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2009/01/sittin_on_the_dock_of_the_bay.html Seems like he's pulling another Orlando Magic, and I don't know why. You have Yao Ming and Ron Artest, plus some solid role players to work with. But this year he has just played like crap. He's shooting 40% from the field, and he's averaging only 16 ppg. So what happened? What happened to the guy who lead the Rockets to a 22 game winning streak, with Yao injured for the majority of those games? He's also starting to sit out back to back games. Has his body really broke down over one summer (he was good last year) or is he just flat out tanking it for some reason? The Rockets, with the addition of Ron Artest, had big expectations this year, and they just haven't lived up to it. And one of the main reasons why is because Tracy isn't doing anything for them.
I'm glad someone posted this, because I was going to post a thread ripping Tmac...........Jesus Christ even the freagin commentators were calling him out last night.........and they are HOMERS......From standing at the top of the key not even moving around (which lead to our commentators saying "the rockets are playing 4 on 5"), to not even bothering to defend Moon on his fastbreak dunk, to not attacking the basket, to his poor defense, to his emotionless looks....................I mean damn I've cheered for some bad rocket teams over the years, but I have never seen another Rocket in franchise history as lazy and dis-interested as Tmac....It's so damn frustrating, because the guy had all the tools to be an all time great.......maybe even the greatest. I honestly just don't feel like he "loves" b-ball, which is fine, but if that's the case then he should give the rockets their money back. I have a feeling Ron Ron will call him out before the season's over and rightfully so............a fucking disgrace to the game and everything it stands for....pathetic. I'd like to keep a personal log of SheMacs "quit" games, starting with this one (although there have been a lot this season and throughout his career)...... I know he's not 100%, but I just don't see the effort......rockets need to do like the writer of the article said, and sit his ass down and start Von Wafer............who gives effort and posted 18 pts last night in one quarter of action......Tmac is the biggest loser that I've watched play in any professional sport, and that's saying A LOT....I can't even laugh at this anymore.......makes me sick to my stomach to see a guy getting paid for doing nothing and not caring in the process..................Only Tmac could make me give up my season tickets, because I REFUSED to cheer my heart out on a nightly basis for a guy who didn't think the same of me.......a fucking disgrace.........I'm sorry, but I'm so damn pissed right now........
What happened to that guy. Someone needs to get his head straight. VC is playing with more passion then he is right now, and I always used to view it the other way around.
yeah as much as I dislike VC I'd take him over Tmac in a heartbeat...........it's like you see moments like the one above and game 2 in dallas, and you know what he's capable of doing....it's not even like Dirk who is straight up scared of the moment.............tmac can be clutch it's just that he's too damn lazy........
just a slight correction but yao played in the first 12 games of the 22 game streak. can't really argue with anything else though. tmac just seems done physically and mentally.
another chronicle article http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/6193178.html The radio stations and fans around the city are blasting her today as well......I want to get together with some rockets fans to show up and boo she mac when the team returns to toyota center....too bad our fans are too concerned with what mixed drink they're going to order, to even give a damn about what actually goes on on the court............
Would you please stop referring to T-mac as a "her"? Everytime you do that, I get confused for a moment and wonder who you are talking about.
so my accounting teacher last year was a huge sports fan, and he got on him last year during the playoffs. He said he was 1/2 assing it and when his teams losing hes smiling like its not a big deal, and he won't take over in the fourth like real stars are spoce to. He said its the first time in the playoffs hes seen a player of his calibar seem to not care.
he's done this repeatedly...the 1st time it clicked to me was in the 05/06 season when he was banged up all year and we were in a close game with Philly at home........at this point in the year we were still somewhat in the playoff picture, but we lost a tough game to A.I. and the boys........during crunch time when we were losing Tmac breaks out with this big ass smile while he was on the floor.....It pissed me the hell off.................. Now apparently she is going to play 2nite against Philly, but sit tomorrow night against Boston....LMAO....I can't believe this bitch sometimes.....................
LMAO another T wack article from this mornings chronicle http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6195787.html I swear this girl doesn't know when to shut the hell up. She goes onto admit that she mailed it in against the Raptors, but it didn't "feel like she did." Who's joining me in wearing Tmac jerseys with paper bags over our heads at the next home game?????? I love the rockets as much as the next man, but we aren't winning anything until this girl is out of town..........Don't put your faith in Shemac, because ultimately she will let you down..........Stop with this "I will always come out on top, because I'm motivated by criticism" crap talk....No one believes you Tracy. When have you ever proven critics wrong???, When you have you came out on top????, When have you ever backed up ANYTHING that comes out of that shit hole you call a mouth??? Time for the Toy Box to boo this girl everytime she touches the ball........boooooooooooooo!!!!........boooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
I said it, and T-Mac said it himself. Don't ever kick a man when he is down. When he's up, you bandwagonners are gonna be riding his jock. T-Mac still has a better rounded game than Kobe.
If he's really quitting games, then he doesn't deserve to cry when the Rockets get eliminated in the playoffs. The sad part is on paper this is more or less a championship-caliber team.
