http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4905975 Would you do this? Even if we do some sort of Bayless for Lee trade? Blake\Sergio Roy\Rudy Batum\Webster\Outlaw LMA\Lee\Bargnani Oden\Joel
tbh I want nothing to do with Bargnani, and I don't see how Lee can help us that much. Give me a Caron Butler, or Gerald Wallace
They're not trading their #1 pick a couple of years ago for two scrubs. They can get better. Or they'll just hold onto him.
I disagree that Frye is a scrub, but I agree about Diogu being one. Either way I don't think those two guys are enough for Bustnani, even though he sucks himself.
My apologies. But seeing how some of the Blazers fans talk about Frye, it sort of leads me to believe he is a scrub.
All of that just so we can pay him 5 or 6 million a year to be a third string backup power forward who will get 60 DNPs a year? Where do I sign
Umm... not really. If he was, Toronto wouldn't be looking to dump him. Career shooting stats: Andrea Bargnani - 0.407 FG%, 0.360 3FG% Jason Kapono - 0.449 FG%, 0.461 3FG% More like a 7' Adam Morrison, if you ask me. BNM
Toronto still hasn't figured out how to use him. They tried him at starting center for the 53 games last season, and he was just flat out awful. His shooting percentages were horrible, and he was the weakest rebounding starting 7-footer since Brad Sellers. Then, after not starting him there all season, Sam Mitchell decided to start him at SF during the play-offs against Orlando. As expected, Bargnani looked totally lost and Toronto got killed on the perimeter in that series. This year, he went back to his original role coming off the bench backing up Bosh at the 4 (after Hump got injured) and playing spot minutes at the 3 on the second unit. Now, with O'Neal injured, he's started at the 5 and has gotten big minutes over the last 3 games - and has actually been productive. Still, I don't want him and wouldn't give up anything to get him. People around here complain about Aldridge's rebounding, but compared to Bargnani, he's Moses Malone. Bargnani is the definition of a streaky shooter. He'll occasionally have a good shooting game - and he's even managed to string three decent games together in a row recently, but you never know what you're going to get. He has way to many 1 - 5 and 2 - 7 games for me. And, of course you know you're not going to get much else out of him. As poorly as Channing Frye has played this season, he hasn't been much worse than Bargnani. Frye is a better rebounder, and is shooting the ball almost as well - better from 3-point range. Bargnani would basically get Frye's minutes and give us more of the same - inconsistent outside shooting and poor rebounding and defense. No thanks. BNM
What's the point? Other than maybe getting rid of two PFs for one? Weird consolidation. So let's see...he'll get approximately 0mpg behind Aldridge and Lee, while Lee may not even be happy with his backup role, Andrea would sit at the end of the bench and be our new Ha Seung-Jin. Bargnani could get time at cent-wait no, he'll get about 0mpg behind Oden and Pryzbilla as well. Well, maybe he'll get some minutes at PF because Lee can play a little SF? No wait...we still have our 3 SFs. Doesn't make any sense to me. You get a player who's 3rd string at center (maybe 4th behind Aldridge), maybe even 4th at PF if you count Outlaw, potentially even farther back at SF because of the 3 natural SFs plus Roy and Rudy. Also, I was convinced that the point was to get a banger backup PF, not another guy known for being "soft" and an outside shooter who would be a backup backup (backup) PF.
Good for Toronto. Seeing Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge and Rudy Gay having significantly better careers has finally gotten them to realize how pathetic that pick was. But whats it got to do with us?
Scrub: (1) A scrub is a guy that thinks he's fly And is also known as a buster (busta, busta...) Always talkin' about what he wants And just sits on his broke ass ... (2) A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me Hanging out the passenger side Of his best friend's ride Trying to holler at me So ask yourself, which definition does he fall under?
