Start Bayless. Bring Rudy back off the bench......from where he was more comfortable.

    Thoughts?

Hmm, I don't know. Rudy clearly plays better w/ Sergio and Sergio w/ Rudy, but that's an awful lot of pressure to put on Bayless, especially since it doesn't look like Nate knows what to do with him.

and if we can, limit Trout's minutes so we can get S-bo, or Ike some burn. I know Ike hustles on the boards, and I wanna see SBO!

Actually I don't think Bayless quite knows what to do with himself. He always looks like he's trying to prove he can play the point and as a result is too passive in calling his own number.

I'm not sure I agree with the Wild One in this regard, but the Blazers are clearly foundering, trying to find some kind of answer at the 2 with Brandon out -- I guess it couldn't get any worse, we're already losing games by 15+

Anything that stops the Sergio/Bayless combo is fine by me. That combo is the worst since Telfair/Damon had to share some time in the backcourt.

I agree with this, although I think it's the Blazers who are trying to turn him into a point. I think they've managed to convince Bayless that he needs to pass more. (which he really doesn't.)

Let's start him at PG so we can run out four rookies. Then maybe we can scoop up a rookie power forward to complete the set.

I'd say no. Let Rudy get comfy in the starting role and Bayless continue to ease his way in.

if you think a bayless/sergio backcourt is tough to watch i can't wait for bayless/blake. please let's start two 6' 2-3" guards.

Before I'd consider that, I'd look at moving Sergio to the starting lineup so that he plays with Rudy, and drop Blake back to the second unit with Bayless.

Bayless needs to play point guard. The shooting guard experiment isn't working.

Maybe we could start Bayless at PF.

Oden would make a good PG.

He's like Roy; A SG that needs the ball in his hands to create. Bayless can't play off the ball: he doesn't know how yet.

i would like to see bayless start, at point or 2, dont care. but without brandon almost all of our shots are coming from the outside. bayless can get to the rim with ease and though he may not be making any shots or great decisions yet atleast he could get opposing teams bigs in foul trouble early making it easier on greg. iso jerryd the first few plays of the game and see what happens, if he fails yank him. whats the worst that could happen? we're down 8? take the leash off, if he develops any pg skills, all that penetration could could get greg a lot of easy buckets. remember rod strickland?

Not so much. He'd be the most athletic, dominant 1-on-5 scorer in the history of the JVs, which pretty much does diddly poo for his need to learn to integrate his skills with good/better players.

    Start me.

I'm pretty sure I can't do any worse than JB has so far.

The last thing he needs is to be embarrassed by a vet right now.
