That is going to be amazing to listen to. Imagine 48 minutes of straight booing every time the Grizz have a possession, and fugedaboutit if they actually have the balls to put Miles on the court.

Unless they re-sign Darius again by this date we won't see Miles set foot in the RG again. If they did re-sign by this date I would imagine a lot of boo's would be coming from the Portland fans.

IMO, it will be worse if Memphis cuts Miles by this game. Much worse.

You guys are jumping the gun here. Lets see how it plays out. They may keep Miles fore the whole season. He might be healthy.

I see nothing wrong with what Portland did by sending out the e-mail. They were simply saying sign Darius for the right reason only. Not to screw with us. And so far i see nothing wrong with what Memphis has done. We will know soon enough by IF and WHEN they release him.

Chris Wallace is bitter that we took his right hand man, Tom Penn, from him. BOO HOO!

I guess we have to hope that Darius gets seriously injured in his next game!

Nothing. It's over. Miles plays at least 2 games and goes back on the book for the Blazers . . . sucks, but nothing Blazers will do anything about.

Funny thing would be if the griz played him for 10 more minutes in 2 games and cut him . . . just to spite Allen and his threats.

What's next is an appeal by the Blazers if Miles plays two more games and is then cut, and after that is a long legal process to try and bankrupt Michael Heisley.

This is the big leagues. Paul Allen just isn't gong to give away $9 million via a loophole.

You are naive if you think Allen won't try every legal method of recouping his $9 million. Game is on...NOW.

They're not stupid. Even if they are trying to screw the Blazers they're not going to make it blatently obvious.

The funniest thing about that, is that the rumored trade the Grizzlies were trying to strong arm would benefit the Blazers more than the Grizzlies, as the Grizzlies would be giving up a better prospect (Michael Conley) for a mediocre at best wing.

Perhaps trading the pick for Shaun Livingston and getting cash will offset the Miles loss, and then Memphis can get the entire $300k from Paul Allen because of the luxury tax.

    Whoopee! Totally worth it! :NOTMARIS:

Sorry bro, but your cred has been shot on this board because of your ignorance in the other (and much longer) thread on this.

I guess where I see a difference about nothing wrong is if some random business owner sent me an email telling me how the rules of our business work and threatening to sue me if I dare go where the rules say I can't . . . I have problem with that.

Who the hell is this person telling me my wht my business is and how I should run it. I don't need to be told what the rules are and be told by some organization they will be looking to sue me if they think I'm doing something wrong.

My response is fuck you and what you think the rules are. I know what the rules are and will run my business within the boundry of the rules as I interpret them, and if you think I'm doing anything wrong then bring your damn lawsuit. But until then, take your damn empty threats and advise about how the business works and shove them up your ass.

That would be my response behind close doors to the email. Publically I would take the high road and have no comment.

Chris Wallace is a very competent GM.

He took the Lakers package over the Bulls package (Noah, Thomas, and Nocioni) for Gasol. While Thomas is starting to come around, Gasol is still better, and he's only a rookie, and is bigger.

What Wallace just did was a no brainer move. Hurt your competition in free agency this summer, get a little kickback in luxury tax revenue, and please all of the other executives in the league who seemed to be cheering this on.

Yet a team that needs cash NOW benefits from this, and coincidently, the Blazers send out the email to everybody last night.

Use your head. This was a pre-emptive (and brilliant) strike. I can't wait for the lawsuit if Miles isn't guaranteed for the season.
