Rudy's Defensive "Style"

    I don't get to see many games, but it appears to me that Rudy's style of playing defense is to overplay his man to the direction he wants him to go, anticipates accordingly, then is quick enough to swat at the ball, or otherwise disrupt the guy.

    I necessarily don't see Rudy as a quality "man-up" defender, but this style seemingly appears to work for him...........at least as far as I can tell.


    Thoughts?

    My thoughts are that it would be nice if we had 12 players on our bench that all played a similar defensive style.

    Our roster would be too large, at 17, and we would be disqualified or at least fined heavily.
