He definitely traveled imo, but I don't think that left enough time on the clock. There should hvae been a few seconds left on the clock after the travel.

    1 - That wasn't a travel.
2 - Foul on San Antonio.

Fucking ridiculous. I can't believe the refs decided that game. I am sick to my stomach. Ariza should have been at the line for two with a chance to win the game. I can't believe that shit. Can you say screwed?

I'm not even worried, I think the Lakers looked great at the end when they made that run; and I feel confident about us against any team.

Can we get a point guard now?

    No.

I kinda knew this was coming, bracing myself for it. Can't say I didn't expect it. Our point guards are a joke. If that was Vlad, he would never see the light of day for the rest of the season. Fish? No biggie. He's the starter forever and won't even hear a word.

Fucking bullshit. Fuck the refs too

Crap call to end that game. Talk about home court advantage.

We play the Magic and Cavs at home at least, I feel like we'll get up for those games.

So are we getting a new point guard soon?

    No.

Sorry if I sound like a jackass but I wish Fish really got hurt on that play. Out a month. That way we go out and get a fucking point guard.

What a performance by Kobe during the final 6 minutes to position the Lakers for another comeback victory. I can't believe the final call either and a horrendous way to end this great game. It was not only a blocking foul on Ginobili, but also a reach in by Bonner from the otherside. It was second time Ariza got hammered in the game without a foul call. Where's the fucken respect shown to him?

How come there's always controversy when the Spurs are at home? I don't think any other team in the league gets the favorable whistles they get down the stretch.

At least the Lakers discovered a new weapon on offense, the pick and roll with Josh Powell.

Josh Powell is a beast. Like I've always said, he can produce for us when given the minutes.

Trade for a point guard, now.

honestly... i wouldn't be surprised if i ate my words and the lakers blew out both the magic and the cavs...

but dude? have you seen the recent play of those 2 eastern teams?

as for us... yes we can score anytime we want to... but we can't do a thing on defence...

with the way the lakers are getting their wins lately... i can't say that im speaking negatively... i think im speaking the truth... that's all there is to it

Well Shape brought this up in an other thread: What quality wins on the road do the Cavs have? I'm not going to bet against us at home.

The West is still deeper than the East this year, Winning 31 games over here impresses me a bit more for now.

Fisher, of all people, would foul. I had to listen to the end of this game as I drove home, and when I hear that Mason got the ball, I knew what was going down, but did I anticipate the foul? No. And if they did hammer Trevor, then fuck the refs.

I mean, I wanna say it was a good moral victory, in that we were undermanned and played the Spurs tough, but that won't translate to a win in the win column. When it comes to vying for home court throughout the playoffs, every win will count.

Someone explain to me, in detail, how Fish fouled him. Cause the radio said Mason jumped into Fish.

The Lakers have to take more pride on the defensive end and not just at the end of close games. I think our main problem is doubling off shooters and allowing them to get into a shooting rhythm. Last night is Von Wafer and tonight it was Mason & Gino. The Lakers have to learn to identify Option B when they collapse their defense. There's a lack of communication because we always see two players double down and that leaves two players wide open for a jumpshot. Unfortunately for us the Orlando Magic are one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league. This will be a real test for our perimeter defense.

If the Lakers figure out how to keep these guys cold early in games, then they won't be making shots down the stretch and will be reluctant to launch.

I have no idea what Fisher was thinking on that final play. He made a stupid decision and gambled for the steal instead of keeping Mason in front of him and putting his hands up.

The fact that the lakers have played more competitive teams (and have a good winning % against them) than the cavs is a good point, BUT... The Cavs have blown out their opponent in almost every game they were favored to win. You have to give credit to them for doing that. And because of this, the Cavs will only grow in confidence.

In games where the Lakers are the favorites, they've had to struggle for the W, the spark we had during the start of the season, where we were blowing out opponents, has disappeared.

Im not saying the Cavs will surely beat us on Sunday, even i wouldn't bet against us on that day. All im saying is that the game is still a toss up... and because of the uncertainty, we have the 'potential' to lose. :NOTMARIS:

It was a weird play. Fisher tried to jump the inbounds pass and missed. Then he tried to get back in the play, but Mason was already in shooting motion and Fisher clipped him on the leg while Mason was coming down.

Mason is a deadly perimeter shooter, that was simply an ignorant risk to take.
