This is why Bayless will be a successful player in the NBA for a long time. He works like a maniac. I've seen so much talent wasted in the NBA because they didn't have the work ethic to go along with that talent/physical gift. Bayless has the talent and the work ethic.

Well, one thing is for sure, you can never accuse Bayless of being a slacker. The guy is COMPETITIVE.

With that said, I don't think it was anger that was pent up...

Match his competitiveness and drive with his raw talent, and he could really be special... and soon. We need it to be soon if we're going to stay in the playoff picture.

Ten days into the season, he nearly snapped. "I remember after the Houston game, I was so mad driving in my car," Bayless said. :NOTMARIS:

In the context of the article and his comments this quote seems an understatement. This guy is a couple more DNP's from a padded cell. The team better get that employee who helped Martell so much to hook up with Bayless before we lose him altogether, or he hurts somebody in practice.

That's so true. You never know, he could end up crippling Sergio Rodriguez. God only knows where we'd be without him.

Martell was depressed. Bayless isn't depressed, he's frustrated... or he was.

Putting him in a padded cell is the only way to keep him from taking Sergio's spot in the lineup!

Or Rudy, who he perceives as an obstacle to his success. :dunno: Or even Roy eventually.

He clearly thinks he is better than anybody else, and is uncontrollably angry about the world not bowing at his feet.

I always though he was just stuck up, but now he just seems dangerously resentfull.

If he sucks tomorrow will he kill someone after the game? :dunno:

You know, I heard that Sergio takes candy from little kids in the park and he flashes old ladies... What is the world coming to.

It's a great problem for an athlete to have that his motor is too revved up ... doesn't exactly do wonders for interpersonal relationships, but when a guy's biggest issue is that he needs to take his foot off of the gas versus having to dig deep and find a way to motivate himself ... I approve.
