FWIW - Canzano believes the Blazers will trade Raef's contract for the landmark type player they hoped to grab this summer. Is Gerald Wallace a landmark player? Vince Carter? Caron Butler? Tracy McGrady (I hope not!) Luol Deng? 4 weeks to the deadline...
Wallace looked pretty damn impressive against us I must say. I don't know about landmark but damn good!

Canzano must have changed his opinion after the Charlotte loss...I heard him say on the radio this past week to only expect a Frye for Udoka trade by the deadline.
I like Ime, I'd be cool with that as a minor trade. Regarding Canzano and his magic 8 ball ... great if it comes to pass, but I just don't see anything happening this year. I just don't think KP wants to risk making a move at mid-season (both good and bad points in that line of thinking).
I would say that the Miles situation makes it more likely that the Blazers use Raef's ending contract to try and gain an impact player than if they still looked to have major cap space in the off-season. Still, I don't expect a trade for a trade's sake. It all depends on whether there's a good deal available.
Canzano also predicted that Darius Miles would never play again. Dude just likes to make stuff up and try to get a reaction. He does the same thing everytime he talks about soccer. His producer admits that he doesn't hate soccer but that he just does it to stir people up. He's Peter Vescey with out the rug.
Only problem is that KP has made it very clear that he's not high on major mid-season trades, due to the significant impact they have on team chemistry. Though I'd be disappointed, I won't be even a little bit surprised if Raef is still on our roster after the deadline.

AGAIN...WHY DO PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM NOT REALIZE WE NEED A TRADE? ARE YOU WATCHING THE SAME TEAM????? Its like when anyone mentions we might make a trade for a much needed scorer/vet...the general concensus in the forum is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We cant trade outlaw, sergio, raef or frye! I mean outlaw is sooooo good. Hes so good on defense and we might miss the nights where he shoots us out of games. OR maybe we might miss the day that sergio actually can hit a jumper and play defense. Frye is the best 20 foot jump shooter in the nba. DONT TRADE THESE GUYS!!! WE ARE FINE!
I'm hoping we make a deal before the deadline, but it really depends on what's available to KP. We've thrown around names on here, but whether those names are ACTUALLY available is something entirely different.
