    That would have been sweet if Steve Nash had just kneeled over so he could have used him as a step to catapult off of.

    Nash was outside the circle, and Smith initiated all of the contact.

    Nash was inside the circle and he was falling away to the side. So, neither pre-requisite for a charge was there (outside the circle, set position). He started outside the circle, but stepped backwards into it, anticipating the contact, as Smith took off (but prior to the contact).
