That's twice Rose has said something with a little too much honesty. That's going to get VDN fired more quickly than anything else. It obviously isn't the first time they've practiced those situations, but if that's the impression that Rose is left with, there's no wonder he looks lost at the end of games recently. If nothing else, VDN needs to be pounding those messages into Rose's head about what to do at the end of games, because this team isn't going to beat anybody comfortably.

Or else . . . he could be (partially) fibbing. Rose got blamed by his coach for their loss yesterday. Now he returns the favor. Can't say I didn't see that coming.

Just like I didn't do a spit take when I read BG's "defense is important" comment, I am going to give Rose the benefit of the doubt and believe that he is just a naive 20 year old.

Rose isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the head. There's a decent chance that they have covered it in practice plenty, but Rose was zoned out. Regardless, the play they were running was pretty simple, and I'm sure Vinny talked about it during the timeout. It's not really that hard to understand.

This is one of the reasons why I don't get the Hinrich/Gordon subs in the clutch. Plenty of times some player goes and hits a big shot over Hinrich in the clutch, which Hinrich poorly contests. It never made sense to me, because Gordon always looks fine defensively during crunch time. (He clearly gets amped up during that time of the game....getting stops is necessary in making himself look better with his offensive clutch efforts). I understand getting Drew Gooden the hell out of the game for Tyrus Thomas, but the guard one is a head scrather, especially since Rose should be the one substituted out before Gordon. (Although Vinny switched it up last game by doing a Hinrich/Sefolosha tandem sub).
