Sergio and Trout + RLEC to get both would be an absolute steal. and it works under the CBA http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...981~454~2015~3025&teams=22~22~4~4~4&te=&cash=
Awesome trade, but still leaves us with a lot of clutter at the PG and SF positions (especially with Marty coming back in a few months).
the more i think about it....who would back up outlaw at PF is we do a deal with the bulls? maybe sangila and butler form the wiz for outlaw, sergio, and raef? if we get a pg...back...it creates no time for bayless. thats why i dont see a deal with chi. no backup pf and a log jam at PG unless we do another deal but maybe thats with the west team quick was talking about
Nice. It would certainly shake up the roster, but wouldn't Blake have to be a part of the deal, somehow? Otherwise it looks like an absolute steal for Portland.
Heres your trade imo http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...4~2015~3025&teams=22~22~22~27~27~27&te=&cash= Butler, Sangila, and a wiz throw in FOR outalw, sergio, raef Blake/Bayless/Wiz scrub Roy/Rudy Butler/Webster/Batum LA/Sangila/Frye Oden/Pryz Only thing about outlaw...is hes very valuable at PF for us
Re: Heres your trade imo I dont remember specifically, but did Quick hint at the positions? I just remember him saying that it would push us into contender category. But for some reason I assumed it was for a PG and SF.
he did...and we would be getting a SF and a pg butler is our guy, rice has hinted at it so many times.
That would be an unbelievable trade from our view, but its highly doubtful they would accept it. I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat and add a 1st rounder.
Not that much clutter; Blake has a team option at season's end so can be released or traded, and I think Jerryd would be well served to play behind Hinrich (who would be 29 next year) as a backup, getting maybe 15-20 minutes a night for next couple of seasons ... because as much as I love Jerryd's potential I recognize that he's still pretty raw being asked to run an offense full-time -- still he'd be a helluva microwave guy off the bench, essentially replacing Travis in that role. As for Martell coming back in March, I don't see much of a logjam at all, he's going to be super rusty, and not nearly in any kind of basketball shape with us entering a stretch run; frankly I think Nate would have a hard time justifying putting him into the rotation at such a critical juncture. Down the line it might be something of an issue, but he's cheap enough (and still has enough upside) to move in a trade over the summer and it's likely we'll be in the market for a backup power forward. I really like the thought of this lineup: Hinrich/Jerryd/draft pick or Koponen Brandon/Rudy/Jerryd Deng/Batum LMA/TBD or maybe Freeland? Greg/Przy
Re: Heres your trade imo He specifically said the deal with the Eastern team involved a point guard and a small forward and said that it probably pushes us into title contender territory. There aren't too many Eastern teams I can think of where the small forward and point guard are both really good and available: Bulls, Bucks, Wizards(?), Charlotte (unlikely with Wallace on the shelf and Felton sucks)
Re: Heres your trade imo maybe the time to buy low if we want wallace, and felton is a RFA so no commitment if he isn't worth keeping.
bulls trade would make us make another deal. we would have 3 pgs and not have PT for bayless. ALSO WE HAVE NO BACKUP AT ALL TO LA. bulls deal is possible but it would make us deal for another PF. I gues sthats not too tough to find if you offer a pick.
