Much of the blurb about the Blazer game laments the loss of CP3 and how it makes the Hornets a much worse team.

He got old man. It happens to the best of them if they stay too long. It looks like he has lost a step or 2 as well.

He never really had a great shot. He's got a mild case of Dariusitis. With a deterioration in speed and athleticism, there isn't much else to his game.

I still would've played Antonio Daniels over Jeff McInnis... ugh.

oh god lol....i forgot about those days....

mcinnis and daniels at pg with damon pissy on bench while sheed was throwing balls at boom booms head and bonzi was spitting. good god j quicks job was fun!

    heres a great story lmao

Another time, in the visiting locker room in Dallas, I had Rasheed Wallace threaten to punch me after a playoff-game loss. Deadline was approaching, I’m the only writer in the locker room and I’m asking Rasheed questions, and he whips around, and tells me to get out of his space or he’s going to punch me out. At that point, his teammates are all looking to see how I react, and in no way am I going to back down. I’m looking at Rasheed, and thinking if he takes a swing I’m going to try and stuff him into the locker behind him if only because journalists everywhere need me to man up in that situation. Either that, or I’m going to get knocked out and blow my deadline. So I tell him I’m not moving. I just stand there, holding my notepad and recorder, and we’re staring at each other. He eventually storms past me to the shower, and while he’s gone Zach Randolph, a rookie then, leans in to me and says, “When ‘sheed comes back, make sure you don’t have your back to him. He’ll sucker punch you.” The great irony is that a month later Randolph sucker-punched Ruben Patterson during a practice breaking his eye socket. Someone was holding Patterson’s arms when Randolph threw the haymaker. There was a period of a few days after that incident where Randolph hid out at Dale Davis’ house because he feared that Patterson was going to try and shoot him.

Don't we all just miss the good old days. What I wouldn't give for a good marijuana in a pop can/tin foil/yellow hummer/stashed at a house/it was my brother's story.

Wasn't Telfair supposedly packing heat 'cause he feared some of Z-bo's boys?

Fuck, those were some dysfunctional teams.

Kenny Vance told a story about James "Hollywood" Robinson and Gary Trent going at it(throwing chairs at eachother) in the locker room back in the day. He said Gary looked at him and basically told him to keep his mouth shut about it or else. Gary didn't seem like the type that you'd want to mess with.

Hmmm, a thread about how great it is we have at least one young "Badass" on our team (Bayless).

Back then, we had a whole team full of Badass dudes.

    People are never happy.

I prefer the Jerryd-type badass attitude rather than say.. the Bonzi, Rider-type badass.

Maybe its just me but I dont think Bayless is acting like a badass or overly cocky, I think he is just pumped to be playing and contributing. You have to understand that this is a guy who has probably never sat on a bench so much in his entire life and has been just chomping at the bit to get in and play. All the while he had to sit there after being passed by in the draft and dropping down and then listen to people talk about how he has been what some thought he would be. Can you blame him for being excited and aggressive now that he finally getting his chance to show what he can bring? And I get the vibe that he really does enjoy being apart of team effort in comeback and getting the team going.

It would be hard to sit when guys like OJ Mayo, who you feel you can hang with talent wise, are tearing the league up. All sorts of players that Bayless was at the level of get playing time because of the teams they are on, and need. Bayless is on a team where he has to fight for playing time, and prove he deserves it. He knows that Blake is coming back soon, and he needs to show what he can do while the opportunity is there.
