Well I'm sure Pop will send flowers to Carmelo and apologize. Then he'll take him out to Olive Garden for a nice dinner.

I did. basically Pop conceeded this game for the benefit of the spurs in the future. I get it.

Same question, is it good for the NBA, or more so the NBA fans, to allow coaches to pick and choose when they want to tank games?

If its good for the team, then its fine. No problem. This helps the Spurs rest up for a national TV game against the Celtics, so its fine.

Wow, I am utterly blown away by your remarkable debate skills! Woah is me, I can see the error of my ways, and completely agree with every point that you've skillfully and atristically woven into the fabic of this thread. You, sir, are a genius of the highest order, and I would be proud to consider you an expert in the field of NBA knowledge and overall living. Bravo, my new friend, bravo!

    *single clap*

7 March 2008. 2nd game of a back-to-back. In Denver. Parker had been injured for 2 weeks in DEC and a 3 weeks in Jan/Feb. Ginobili had missed 2 weeks in DEC. Duncan had been averaging 38mpg for a couple of months.

    Overtime must've been the difference.

As an NBA fan, is what pop did good for the NBA?

Never mind, I guess you are saying if it is good for the team, then it is OK for the NBA fans. I disagree.

And it would have been good for the team, if Blazers picked Miles off of waivers and sat him. So if the standard is it's OK if it's good for the team . . . well that is a standard that could be abused.

Or you could try setting a good example by offering a cogent explanation instead of knee-jerk insults. When a thread is jumping the rails, maybe a MOD should try to push it back on course, instead of escalating the situation.

    I know....what a silly idea!

Speaking of childish conspiracy theories: isn't it a weird coincidence that this is the *second* forum where the Blazer board is being harrased by outside Mods?

It doesn't matter, it isn't Pop's job to give a fuck about what's good for business when he has team to run.

Nobody's harassing you. Everyone is blowing this way out of proportion.

Are we re-routing your political threads to the OT politics forum? We are not. Are we banning members who disagree with us and post things we don't like? We are not. Are we taking threads like these and moving them to NBA General (or the Spurs or Nuggets forums?)? No.

If you can't handle 'outside' posters coming in and telling you that your conspiracy theories are ludicrous, well, then that speaks to how thin your skin is.

You're calling me a troll because I'm an 'outside' mod, coming into your forum with strong opinions about a ludicrous conspiracy theory.

Geez JE, I'm not talking about pop. I'm asking if this is good, a coach tanking a game, for NBA fans . . . aww never mind.

For the fans? Probably not, but its not the end of the world, or anywhere close.

I did. It said that Blazer fans are probably upset at the Spurs doing this, which some are. What is your point other than to repeatedly exhibit your failure at reading comprehension?

That's all I'm trying to say.

Yes pop can do it, but it sucks for fans and especially Blazer fans.

It is odd that many of us have been posting with each other in various communities for over ten years, and the only problems that arise come from mods outside of the Blazer fanbase. I don't get it. Why not just be civil in your disagreement, JE?
