    Observations:
    1) LMA can't rely on his length to hit fadeaways that teams are trying to take away from him. Carlisle had them prepared to sit on his right shoulder and then jump the fade...that's why he was able to hit those and-ones when he did the up-and-under--they weren't expecting it. He just stopped going to it.
    2) Sergio's jumper was off. He knew it, Nate knew it, Dallas knew it. A disturbing thing was to see LMA look him off, and not even pass the ball back to him when doubled in the first quarter.
    3) Bayless should start. Sergio should come off the bench with Rudy and Outlaw.
    4) Roy needs to figure out earlier in the game if he's not getting calls, and then adjust. Being stubborn doesn't seem to help.
    5) I'm as tired of talking about Outlaw losing his man as I am of Sergio's jumper.
    6) Each player gets six fouls. Can we please use one or two to hammer a guy about to make an uncontested layup?
    7) IIRC, we shot 13 3's. We're normally shooting 19 a game, even though we were shooting 62%. But we took a large amount of contested long 2-pt jumpers.
    8) Good things happen when LMA and Travis take it to the rim. Bad things happen when Travis and LMA are both in the game, and both shooting jumpers.
    9) Bayless needs to show that he can hit a 15ft jumper. He should watch Josh Howard tapes tonight...see all of the midrange shots he was making, and that'll open up his entire game. He doesn't need to have Rudy or Blake's range--he needs to keep the D honest.
    10) I didn't see any P&R's with Oden tonight (maybe I missed them). He was camped on the block each time. Don't you think that against Damp and Dirk (not the quickest dudes around) that he should have been open running down the paint at least once?
    11) Switching on D isn't working for us. Maybe it's a great strategy, maybe it was just in emergencies, but we get killed. I see it, the Mikes see it, Carlisle sees it. If we managed to get through one pick, they'd re-do the same pick until we switched on it. Then it was either Dirk crushing Bayless (who was at least trying) or a big getting driven by.
    I could keep going, but I won't

    12) We should stop just showing up. We should look to disrupt what the opposition is doing. It took until late in the third to switch to the zone. By then, it was too late.

Kent, HCP...Kent. I guess I could have played "where in WA is Waldo" and waited to see where your geography extended to, but I'll be merciful to the rest of the board. :)

Snow and Mourning are much more soothing to listen to. It's like hearing Shaft tell me we lost.

    Luftman, not so much.

I kind of do. It'll be better when I get a dog. Going for runs doesn't let you meet many people, but I pass tons of people walking dogs.

There are a couple of segments of Kent. (I've only been here 2 1/2 years, it's not like I'm some long-time resident) It's just finishing up a transition from a farm community (used to be "the most fertile farmland in the world" if you believe wikipedia) to a suburban sprawl community. Trains run through the middle of town, but I'm about a mile from the tracks and it's not bad at all. Very little crime (compared to Renton, Tacoma, Seattle) and really good outdoorsy stuff (trails, golf courses, biking, kids' sports parks). We just got the ShoWare Arena (about 7k) opened up right next to Kent Station, a movie theatre/small mall/restuarant hang-out area. Lots of condo/townhome communities in the valley, and 70's/80's-built tri-levels up East Hill.

A relatively young community, all in all. I like it better than Bremerton and Olympia (the other WA places I've lived). I like it better than living on 82nd and Division back in the day.

Bayless doesn't have to watch tapes of Josh Howard. All he needs to do is watch a tape of himself in summer league against Phoenix.
