I like it. Id much rather have Vlad than Luke traded. Luke actually contributes, that shitty play of his the last couple of years has blinded some of you.

Instead of a player option in the 10/11 season for Vlad we have a TEAM option that year for Morrison. IF (big if) Morrison is gonna make it in the NBA these next couple of years is when its gonna start happening. He is finally healthy, has some experience, and a new chance of hope. He is probably shitting his pants right now he is sooo stoked.

Brown is 800k for the rest of the year. I see him getting next to nothing playing time but its good to have a emergency PG for this team.

Well, at least any plans Charlotte had in summer of 2010 have been blown to shit.

Yep, Larry Brown has pretty much killed their chances.

We save 11 million over the next 3 years. That has to count for something.

he was averaging 17 mpg and shooting .440 from 3, if you think ammo and brown are gonna play/contribute more than that...

Look at the last few weeks, Vlad wasn't getting any minutes at all and was comparable to Luke with an ugly contract as well. I'd take the cap relief.

Vlad wasn't going to play regardless, so what's the point of having him on the roster? Getting rid of him gives us more wiggle room to resign Ariza/Odom.

There's no downside to this deal at all. It would've been one thing if Vlad was actually in the rotation, but he hasn't been since like the first month of the season.

Josh Powell, who has played well when given the minutes.

Vlad is horrible at the 4/5 anyways. He's too weak and can't grab any rebounds.

Morrison's contract also expires in 2010, so he's a better trade asset than Vladrad, if we're going to look for another big.

He has played well when given the minutes, didn't do bad against the Celtics.

Either way he's an upgrade over Vlad at the 4/5. He actually rebounds.

There's nothing funny about him... He's more polished offensively than Turiaf.

Josh Powell can play JE. IMO if the Lakers decide not to resign Odom Powell will be a reason.

    I forgot about VC.

Haha, Brown was his favorite player. Maybe he'll find his niche here? Who knows.

At least this gives us the third point guard I've been crying about. No Sun Yue does not count.

Also, I find this trade weird from the Bobcat's standpoint. Vladrad doesn't seem like a Larry Brown player at all, but who knows. Larry Brown has basically ruined all financial flexibility the Bobcats have in the future to sport a mediocre team that might not even make the playoffs.
