Ah, I'm not so sure about this. Caron would be nice, but Boozer is a big piece for them. He grabs major boards and is the 1st scoring option most nights. However, if Paul gets more playing time, it could be a very good trade. PG - D. Williams SG - R. Brewer SF - C. Butler PF - P. Millsap C - M. Okur That's not a bad line-up if you think about it. Butler adds a solid SF and AK47 can still play at a high level, so they have a great option off the bench.
this move would be huge for utah, caron can defend and score very well. not to mention this would put ak47 back at pf for the majority of his minutes, where he is an all star imo.
I agree about the comments about AK47. He's at his best playing PF and with the break out season Milsapp is having and Boozer talking about opting out this deal makes a lot of sense for Utah.
u do this if you're utah........they've always needed as swingman.......boozer is overrated imo........Millsap might turn out to be better than him.......
especially in the post season when it counts. boozer gets exposed in the playoffs when utah faces any team with size. he just can't matchup with players who can score in the post and boozer isn't nearly as effective in halfcourt sets. butler would be another wing player dwill could find in transition and butler is one of the better on ball defenders right now. butler also does a nice job of drawing fouls and shooting a high clip at the charity stripe. he'd fit right in with the pick and pop game utah runs.
Hmm....this would be an okay move if it happened, but Utah would need another big. Millsap hasn't been all that great lately and it's shown how bad Sloan's offense need a PF. Millsap is a good role player but no way is he Boozer, and he's starting to lose consistent effectiveness. Boozer is also their cap space to resign Millsap, Korver, and Memo since all of them can opt out this year or next. Memo might ask for a raise, Millsap will for sure, and Deron's extension kicks in next year, while the owner can't afford to go into luxury tax with car dealerships sales down. Now if he just sold the team to this other guy in Utah that wants to buy it, going into the luxury tax would be no problem
