Gasol has been playing well and so has Lamar. This is the team that we have been waiting for. The Lakers have now swept the season series from the Cavaliers and Celtics. They have beaten the top teams from the East.
LeBrick definitely showed up today. His 5/20 shooting was pretty fantastic, and he's now 14/45 against the Lakers this season. Lamar was huge tonight. Had 15/10 in just the 3rd quarter. He and Gasol were both huge tonight, making so Kobe didn't have to do too much. So, does anyone else now doubt that the Lakers are the best team in the NBA? Beat Boston in LA? Check. Beat Boston in Boston, without Bynum? Check. Beat Cleveland in LA? Check Beat Cleveland in Cleveland, without Bynum? Check. Oh yea, we also have snapped two long Boston win streak plus Clevelands 23 game home win streak. If our defense continues to show up the way it has, I can't see a better team than us.
Well isn't this the ultimate February 'we won the title' circle jerk. GOD I cannot wait for the playoffs.
You're going to bounce us in 5? Boston or Cleveland will bounce your ass in 5 come Finals. And that's even in limbo if the Spurs get John Salmons, in which case San Antonio will give your Cakers a real run for their money.
4-0 Against them in the regular season. We're better than them without Bynum, if we get him back, no way in hell do we lose.
Just like how the Sox didn't stand a chance against your Angels, due to how they went 1-8 against them in the 2008 regular season? Oops. I guess the regular season really doesn't mean that much. But then again, that's why is the Lakers' stage, right?
I can't say that I'm overly worried about the Spurs. We're better than them without Bynum and once we get him back, we'll still be better than them.
You're comparing baseball and basketball. Completely different games. Come back when you've got a better argument.
The regular season means nothing, that's the point. My argument is pristine, you just have no comeback for it.
The regular season means a lot for us. We proved to ourselves we could out play you guys, even when you try to get physical. We proved to ourselves that we could go into Boston and win. We proved to ourselves that we can shut down LeBron (14/45 shooting against us this year). We proved to ourselves a lot this year in the regular season, so saying it doesn't mean shit is idiotic.
Regular season means plenty. It decides homecourt advantage, which we now have the inside edge on since we took the season series against the Celtics and the Cavs. If the Cavs don't have homecourt against us, I don't see how they best us. They're a mediocre road team at best. The Celtics are a better road team, but you know they'd still prefer to have those 4 games at home instead of just 3, especially with how much they struggled on the road last year in the playoffs pre-ECF.
