I would like to see Jefferson here. He would bring consistency, which this team screams for. He would bring defense, which this team screams for. He would bring playoff and championship series experience, which this team screams for. He would bring some attitude, which this team screams for. I would find it really hard for Jefferson to not be successful here.
and I believe they will only have his early bird rights. Maybe they are scared someone will offer him more than the MLE?
Given the state of the economy and this being a lost season for the Bucks, RLEC plus a protected first would likely be enough.
I don't see that as the problem with Oden's fouls at all.... I think what Greg is learning about is that he cannot just "bang" into guys and not expect to get a foul called on him b\c of his size...and he also tries to effect\block some shots that he should sometimes just let go.... But again, his fouls wouldn't be so magnified, if he was actually getting more than SIX shot attempts per game (that is his average so far)....
Yeah - he should really find some capable perimeter defenders to stand behind not to expose himself to cheap fouls when he actually tries to cover for the inept ones we have...
It's been two different foot injuries. Insofar as I know his ankle is fine. However, it is odd that we've heard so little about it.
Like Portland, maybe. If Portland doesn't trade RLEC and they just let it expire, they could offer Sessions more than the MLE. And should, IMO. Sessions could well be the best talent available on the market, considering current ability and age.
I don't understand why more people don't see this. Young guys want to play. They want to show what they can do. They want to earn bigger contracts. The NBA is a business. Sure, they want to win, but they also want to earn a living.
Actually, I think they could swing both. They need to trade Atlanta for Childress' rights anyway...so they don't necessarily need money under the cap. Atlanta could sign-and-trade Childress to Portland. I would be willing to give up, say, Outlaw and/or Webster and/or cash. That would leave a small forward rotation of Childress and Batum.

When Bucher even suggested that Portland could get Amare by trading LMA she was totally against it. After that whenever any trade was mentioned (Carter, etc.) Rebecca kept talking like they would use Aldridge in the trade. She is definately into LMA. Sorry AgentPetro.
You don't get it. Redd is done for the season, Bogut is out two months, Ridnour is out for one month. Their season is done, no matter how you want to look at it.
I get it. The East is weak and there is a plethora of teams vying for the last two playoff spots. Milwaukee even with those injuries has plenty of talent. Sessions has produced more than Ridnour ever did on that team. Villanueva has picked his game up immensly since the Redd injury and Jefferson is producing solidly. They still have plenty of weapons and the Nets, Knicks, Raptors and Bulls haven't shown that they have enough to pull away from the pack. In a season where they're very much a part of the playoff race this far in, there is no way they're giving up a talent like Jefferson for a expiring contract and likely a draft pick in the early 20's. It doesn't make sense. Especially with a relatively young team that isn't an enticing place for free agents, which would make giving up Jefferson for an expiring ridiculous.
Yes it does. They are the 8th seed AT BEST with the injuries. After they get crushed in the post-season, they are going to go into the lux tax with a mediocre team and they are going to have to resign Sessions and CV to larger contracts. Do you see them doing that? Honestly? Giving up Jefferson will be purely a financial move.
Sessions is a MLE guy and nothing more as of now. I think getting rid of Redd is a more likely how they're are going to cut salary. Teams in the playoff hunt, with a fanbase that isn't accustomed to making the playoffs on a regular basis isn't going to risk playoffs (whether a first round and out, or not) just for that cap relief. Its going to take more than that to get Jefferson.
Their owner isn't paying for them to make the 8th seed. He wants to win a championship, and this team, no matter what happens, will have no way of winning a championship. You underestimate how much money Raef would save for a cheap owner like the Bucks's owner. Also, Redd isn't leaving. He's injured so his trade value has dropped significantly. Also, Jefferson isn't having the best season. They want to sign Session and CV because they are two young players that have the potential to take their team farther than Redd/Jefferson. The first step would be to move one of the larger contracts, and Jefferson is definitely the easier and more logical choice. I just don't see any way they would go into the luxury tax to get crushed in the first round.
Every owners objective is to win the championship. You're just re-hashing some of Chad Ford's "wisdom" and expecting that to be the owners true M.O. Jefferson is not the problem contract in Milwaukee and its not like they have to make a decision between Jefferson and Villanueva. The guy who's going to go is going to be Redd if they really want to save money and be in contention. Its going to take more than that expiring contract to get Jefferson.
