Good. Homeboy needs his rest way more than he needs a third game in as many nights -- and a meaningless game at that.
Good. More rest. I'll bet he can play and is using the soreness as an excuse to take the All-Star break off. Oden is already big-timing All-Star weekend. *sniffle* Our little Oden is growing up so fast.
btw i remember oden played after the collision and didn't show any signs of pain at all. i think in his mind he's saying "screw this nonsense, let me watch instead"... or go to 24 hour fitness and play pick up ball =)
This sucks. The Rookie Game is my favorite part of All Star weekend and I was really looking forward to seeing Oden play. I can't believe people here are saying it's a good thing that Oden reinjured his knee.
They're saying its a good thing that they aren't playing him so he can get some rest. And "reinjured"??? It's not even the same knee as the microfracture.
Reinjured? He came back in after banging his knee and was effective, as I recall. He's simply taking an extra day of rest rather than playing a meaningless game.
The Blazers sent out a release. Canzano read it on his show. My paraphrasing: Underwent precautionary MRI. Some minor swelling and a small patellar (sp?) bonechip. Listed as day to day.
Read the link that Sebastian Express posted. That is the Blazer's release. Not cool. Glaring at the people who responded to this thread with a "good"
